✭but to be honest. when i started ESO it was on PC. i picked a DC character because that was new lore i was curious to explore. i did cadwell's untill i hit cadwell's gold untill i was kinda done on PC (i'm way more of a console gamer most pc games bore me WAY waster for some reason). when i started again on console EP was we fraction i hadn't seen mutch from and it was the underdog in PvP in the server i played. I like being the underdog because there is were the challenges lie (that's why #NoNerf4live not sorc, not NB not vMSA).

If TES 6 is in Black Marsh, then the other alliances are completely done for xDJust so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.0 -
Imperial EP here. Biggest reason is the mature player base. Bananas are filled with people who want to be legolaz, and smurfs with people who think the "standard good" people.

I Always thought DC had the most matured players. And to be honest I still do.
But actually I can't really know, I only know other Alliance players from Cyrodill. And I can tell you, it was no conversation we had.

✭Well ZOS' board saw the upfront revenue of splitting up the races and charging players addition money to play the race they wanted in the alliance they wanted. No thought was given to the need for population control concerning PVP.
The bleak outlook is that's probably how PVP dies. One side is so over represented that the other two cannot put up a fight, and players just stop playing PVP.

My experience is the absolute opposite. I played on the three alliances and ended up deciding to go AD because of the mature player base and the reasonable number of players (DC also has a mature player base, but back when I decided, they had the smaller population), while EP had, in my experience, the biggest number of "Skyrim Kids". In my cross-faction trading guilds, the EP guys are still the ones who cause drama.

Refuse2GrowUp✭✭✭✭✭AD heavily out numbers EP on PS4 NA...HEAVILY. They come in first in almost every campaign and are the kings of zergs.
EP owns campaigns only because we have organized guilds aimed at making ADs life hell. We go in daily to try to take everything from them. But while we are taking one, they take two. And back and forth it goes.
I think DC may be a little outnumbered, but they are usually in second place in Azuras (behind AD) and go in and take over one or two buff campaigns every day. DC tho is well known for shady PvP practices (rolling alt spies, alt scroll steals, alt siege steals and wall leap dummies, having yellow mains/alts and switching back and forth at will for ganking, etc)
Think it is bad now, just wait till ZOS allows faction changes (in works now). I already know more players than I care to admit that plan to jump to AD simply because they want guarenteed campaign rewards and want the easy wins. Also, DC has the only quest completion pet. Yes you can get there eventually if you are in EP and AD, but people can get it quicker if they choose DC as their alliance. (I know this is a very small point, but its not been mentioned yet, others mentioned Skyrim, and the races available already

✭✭✭✭✭It's because Dark Elves rule!!! Is there another reason I am missing? Seriously though, I always gravitated towards Dunmers for some reason, probably because of Morrowind. My very first character in Beta was a Dunmer DK. As I made other characters, it seemed logical to stay in the same faction. I cant be the only one.
From a min/max perspective, race does matter, and some are just naturally better than others. I remember a LOT of people going AD early on because Altmer was so good for magic, and magic was king in the early days. DK was perhaps the strongest class for a long time, and Dunmers make really good, probably the best, DKs, so a lot of people rolled them early as well. DC probably had it the worst in the beginning. Bretons are great healers, but they just dont DPS like an Altmer. Redguards are arguably the best stam race, but it was a long time before stam was really viable. By then, faction lines had been drawn. People making alts most likely have the imperial edition so their alts were in the same faction as their main characters.1 -
