You can't argue that addons are overkill when they provide you the necessary information that you normally wouldn't be able to obtain.DRXHarbinger wrote: »Not bait at all. As for knowing how good your gear is...well everyone else uses the same stuff right? So if others are using the same and doing fine then ultimately the difference will be l2p. ..it's not hard. Just need to respec and ditch all the old crap chuck a few hundred k at your toon and off and you, you'll crush it Everytime. Currently on xbox you cannot do it without a death, near everyone I've asked gets reset on round 7 and loads back in dead sp it's impossible. I'd give it a punt though if I could really be that bothered but tbh there is no real need to do it without a death ..title isn't worth thr time when we need to hoard millions of gold and AP for the next dlc now. No trolling but some of these add ons are overkill. All you need is dps that is all.

Your Damage Per Second, your Critical and non Critical Hit Damage, when a special passive procs (burning light), it's good to know this information to be able to max it out for your performance. There is no situation where this wouldn't be useful lol.
Damage reports help so you can time how long it takes to do a rotation and so you can compare it to other rotations to see which will give you the most damage.
I also like to have a percentage on bosses so I know when to start executing, and I like to know how much magicka I have left out of my total pool so you can start to conserve it.
Those are key essential addons that should have been features in the main game in my opinion

In fact, it's not even actual difficulty. It's an "artificial difficulty" per say. It's the amount of damage the trash mobs are doing, whilst also trying to deal with the boss/mini-boss at hand. So, it's not a "L2P" issue. It's a "artificial damage" issue. Not even my sorcerer can do it (on console). Neither with pets, or pure DPS caster. Why? Because of the lack of information given. On PC/Mac, you have add-ons which provide information of certain important things. On console, there's none of that. You're just expected to know when, and go from there. Playing "blind" if you will. Or... Maybe in the developer's eyes, playing how it is meant to be played.
This is ridiculous. How do they expect console players to do this? Granted only 1 person has done it so far on PS4, and from what I've read on the forums a few have on XB1. But, you have to ask them just how close it came to them doing it. As well as how many champion points they had. And yes, it's true. There's no rush to do it immediately. And yes, this is something which is meant to be gotten only for the "hardcores". But... There's no other way to get the Maelstrom Arena weapons. So, please Zenimax. Tone down the monster damage. Not the amount of adds/monster. But, the amount of damage they're doing. Because, I'm having a very hard time to keep track of every single thing going on with no add-ons. And apparently, many others are as well that I've spoken with. And also, it's apparently a problem for people on PC/Mac as well (although I have no issues with vMA on PC/Mac due to my high champion points and key information being given to me about what's going on).
TL;DR Version: Mobs doing too much damage, and no way of knowing truly what's going on lack of add-ons), make vMA semi-impossible for console players.
^This. ZOS really needs to stop game testing the difficulty on pc and start test and using the console as the standard. For myself(as a Templar healer) the console general dungeon difficulty is signficantly harder.
@Justice31st u do realize if stuff wasn't tested for pc first, then released to pc where we can hash it out and find out what's broken via addons so we can call zos out on it, console players WOULD NEVER KNOW if something wasn't working properly?
You are welcome for our sacrifice ^_^
P.s.
PC has controller support now......come to us we have addons. Bring your chosen controller too

Seriously no offence but you may enjoy thr game a little more actually looking at the content rather than worrying about a bunch of numbers flapping all over the screen. Ruins what is a really immerse game. Threads on vma need closing. It's been done and dusted..new challenge needed. PVP is picking up again now it's old news.
Noobish? To what actually know what damage your doing? To know if spending 300k worth of mats on that new dps gear is actually worth it?
In a game that has several dps checks, and requires you to make sure your build is capable in certain situations you NEED numbers.
Besides the point you can turn everything off and even have a more immersion UI on pc.
Anyway where did most of the console players get their builds from? Oh right yeah.
Oh and how do console players know if their radiant destruction is bugged and not applying execute damage, or if a skill is bugged and not buffing correctly?
Best of all, how do you communicate in a guild of 500 members where none use voice chat?
The only thing my addon's tell me is how much damage I'm doing and how broken my armor is, so not getting what you're implying as an add on advantage.

Addons give zero real advantage to PC players, they just make some things a little simpler. I could beat vMSA without the only addon I do use (Foundry Tactical) just as easily.
If anything makes vMSA harder on Consoles its the lack of Tab targeting. I don't even want to know how you guys have to select specific mobs in the middle of a group of 5-6 of them. Since they got rid of the white box on PC, the tab targeting has been a crap shoot but it still works most of the time. Without it I'd be raging hardcore trying to get my attacks to hit the mob I'm pointing at.
