Anyone willing to share these grind spots? i'm wanting to make a magicka dk but the thought of the long leveling process makes my cry irl.

Also it's a dc character so if you have any great grinding spots or tips let me know please.

    Orsinium seems horrible for grinding except maelstrom. I'd go imperial sewers first. OR just hit every delve and make it your home while you do the chain quests in every area

    Don't know why they just don't significantly lower the experience needed per vet level. If the ultimate goal is to remove them, then let's just make it super easy to obtain once you're VR1 anyway.

    Well I wouldn't call it useless because stuff was (is) balanced around the vet ranks. It will be rebalanced and then the vet ranks will be removed. You leveled up something you won't need in the future, but definitely needed to do it for the current content. I guess you could say the time was kinda wasted but well, afterwards it will be easier to level up a character to the level cap and the further progression will be accountwide. So I guess it's okay. And it was always the plans to have the CP replace the vet ranks. It's just taking way too long.
    But we don't know much how they are gonna implement it. Still in the future. So we wait for further information.

    There won't be a level 76, but all the CP you earnt during the 50-VR16 will stay, and you'll get extra CP for each VR you've got on your highest level char. At the moment the people that should be complaining are those that have multiple VR16's, as they get the short end of the stick. Everyone else has it much, much easier.

    You telling me level 50 will be the level cap that's bs if your vr16 that's like level 76 people who are vr16 should be put at level 76 not 50 if so it's like all them extra vr levels never mattered this happens im quitting eso

    It's more a conversion from vet system to champ system. I wasn't too happy either but they are giving us the skill and attribute points I believe so it's really the same. By the way how will that work? Does a lvl 50 character get a big skill point and attribute point pinata for hitting 50 if i already have the 160 cp? If so there should be confetti

    1-50 you can do easily by doing world bosses, delves and dolmens. Vet levels can be earned quick through IC sewers.

    It just so happens that im powerleveling too...

    Grind spots:
    - Sentinel harbor and shore, zombies
    - Alikr necropolis, zombs again
    - Coldharbour, Vile Laboratory, zombs
    - Green Shade, Verrant Morass, feral bosmers, for some reason they light up with Evil hunter (zombs)
    - Shadowfen, Percolating mire, kagoutis (good place to lvl werewolf, i went lvl3-> lvl10 in single transformation)
    - Eastmarch, Wittestadr, again undead.
    - Wrothgar, Rkindaleft

    Im not sure if Rkindaleft is fastest, but it was fast enough to do the last v15-v16. Probably bad place during prime hours.

    It took me two and half days to level from lvl3 to v1. This includes provisioning and alchemy 50. You need the provisioning to extend the ambrosia effect.

    I only do the main quests for skillpoints and fetch skyshards and books. Ignoring everything else.
    Yesterday morning i started by rescuing Vanus Galerion and stopping planemeld, at evening i logged out at Silvenar with Silvenar. So its like 5 regions in one day.

    Oh yeah... Gear... Im thinking that best gear for lowbie alt is Willows path or similar regen gear. Also get yourself Orzogas blue foods.

    When you start grinding go with Julianos or Hunding.

    Apparently they are. really wish they wouldn't tho, it was one of my favorite parts of the character progression.

    That and i don't really see the need for it since they re-worked battle leveling which has made it significant.

    There have been numerous threads on this for the past couple of months since ZOS came out and said they were removing VR and going to a system based upon CP- most of those threads covering numerous pages. Apparently as ZOS has said, 160 CP will be equivalent to VR16. Gear access will be based upon CP as well.

    They have not fleshed out the details... I want to know when does someone reach a new CP 'level'? How are they dividing it out? With VR it was easy... with CP, not so much. Are they going to say every 50 CP is a new 'level' or what CP number will determine when you get another attribute/SP?

    It's all speculation at this point.No one knows for sure how it will go for those above L50.I have heard they will go more than 50 levels before capping,but until I read an official announcement,I'll wait to see how it goes.
    As to leveling to V16 in a week,..what a waste of a good game.

    Apparently, there'll be an achievement for every 10 CPs once you hit V1, said achievement giving 1 attribute / SP point.

    So basically, you hit V1 with an account with 130 CPs, you get 13 of those. For now, it's maxed out at 160 CPs (because V16).

    How do these regular forum goers not know about VR removal for CP system?
    A little context here before this gets too out of hand…
    1. We’re still working on the system – nothing is finalized. (which is why we’re not really talking much about it yet)
    2. The intention is that once you hit 50, champion points take over. Veteran Ranks are completely removed.
    3. When Veteran Ranks are removed, we will convert any Veteran Ranks on your highest character into CP.
    4. To get a rough idea of balance - think of 10CP = 1 VR. (so 160 CP will roughly = VR16)

    Additional Details:
    • We’re planning on giving 2.5 CP for every VR level you’ve earned on your highest level character. (40 for a VR16 character)
    • When the conversion happens, any player with CP less than their old veteran rank * 10 will instead be given enough CP such that their total is VR * 10. For example: A player is VR14 with 75 CP, they will be given 65 CP (140-75) instead of 40, so that they can still equip any gear they may have.
    • We will make sure the 16 attribute picks you got from VR1 to VR16 will carry over. (current plan is an achievement that goes up in 10 CP increments until 160)

    Keep in mind that none of the stuff above is 100% locked in. We're still implementing the feature - things are subject to change. It's important that everyone understands they are not suddenly going to have to have 501 CP in order to equip the top level gear. We will introduce new gear, with higher CP requirements sometime in the future, but we won't be making huge jumps. (i.e. - we won't go from 160 to 400 suddenly)

    Once we finalize the system and lock in more of the details, we will discuss things in more detail and answer questions.

    it used the wrong formula, using the right formula posted in the comments to the thread gives actually a nice outcome where levelling to VR1-VR16 and CP0 to CP160 will be on par. but due to the curve of the XP/CP graph if you are on your first character and between VR7-VR16 it may be better to aim to hit VR16 before they do release the new system. but thats a long way off i expect. as im unaware of further announcements

    15 million XP in < 24h sounds possible. but still. That's some crazy levelling.

    50 + 16 = 76 Unless each VR level counts as 1.625 levels you may want to calculate again.
