Achievement points are just a part of the game.Much as quests are. What do you want them to do exactly? Not being disrespectful here, just wondering what you think they should do.I havent a clue.I dont like them being attached to the unlocking of dyes though.

Neither do I but if you dare to mention that you'll quickly be lynched by the people who have the time to dedicate to the game to actually get them. We "filthy casuals" are pretty much locked out from all the best ones and that seems kind of strange to me over something like a simple cosmetic..

LoTRO awards Turbine Points (the game store currency) with pretty much every achievement.
I know people that own every expansion, questpack etc in LoTRO without having paid a cent for it - just farmed achievments for TP...
Achievement points could serve as another type of ingame currency which you can trade for other currencies of your choosing. Each in different exchange rate of course based on their value. Imagine how awesome would that be.
I'd like to see them put towards player housing. The more achievement points the better the upgrades/quality of the house.

Faster CP-gain. Higher your Achievement Points are, easier your seasonal CP-grind is, or when new season starts, your achievements points are calculated and rewarded as CP.

Why if there is an issue with something cosmetic being on achievements would people want rawpower associated with them?

This is almost as stupid as the point you made on the other thread. Why if there is an issue with something cosmetic being on achievements would people want rawpower associated with them?
WoW, bad day, bro? We are here to give ideas, not to bash each other, reported btw.
Until recently my best wish for Achievement Points would be for more possibilities in Housing.
Everybody can get a House, but the more Achievement Points, the more rooms, decoration possibilities, etc.
And ofc there will be people against such an innocent feature, because instead of all players being "active" in the game, they start spending time in their little dwelling, gathering stuff, befitting the lore of their characters and the location.
No... cannot be... nerf it..... everybody must be active in a min-max outfit..... and if... if Housing comes.... we must all have equal benefits !!!
So I changed my mind.
I want no discrimination between the PVP AP's and the Achievement AP's !
Why would a player, labelled "casual" by many, but in fact dedicated to Lore and Immersion, enjoying living in the game, be discriminated compared to min-max Pledge-Trial PVE'ers, min-max PVP'ers or money grinders???
If AP's and Gold are going to be a kind of token to get nice Armor sets... ok... but then also Achievement AP's.
To get some fancy set, perhaps not even better than he already has, but fun to play with.
And with these AP/Gold tokens, on equal footing, you should not only be able to get Armor Sets, but also features fior Housing, etc.

Only issue is how do you reward RPers without creating a system people can cheat?

We RP nerds are easy to reward and generally with things non-RPers don't want/don't care about.
Like:
Troll free spaces to roleplay where we can take an entire 500 member guild. Private instances.
Cosmetics. Tons and tons of cosmetics. Seriously, you'll never give us too many hairstyles or costumes.
MOAR emotes.
More dances.
More musical instruments.
The ability to TURN OFF the bard in any tavern.
A "portable" bard of your own. One that only plays instrumental versions of the songs. One that actually sings the darn things. (These can ONLY be implemented if other players can turn them OFF for themselves)
Cool "stuff" and clutter with which to decorate player housing.
Useable furniture.
Emote interactions with vanity pets.
So yeah, we're easy to please and can be made happy with things non-RPers aren't interested in so there'd be no point in them "gaming the system" to acquire them.

I would like them to add guild achievement points which can be used to buy statues for the guild halls when a certain number of members have achieved something.
An example? i thought you would never ask
Once 250 members have finished the main story the Molag statue could be available for members of the appropriate rank to place in pride of place in the hall.
