So can i use my controller on the PC version? and if so, will i be able to use the chat AND the controller at the same time? like a hybrid of the PS4 and PC versionS? or do i need to pick one at a time?
ALSO, does it support playstation button icons? i have an Xbox 360 controller i like the PS3 controller more.

✭✭✭✭✭to use a controller on the PC version you will have to give up the PC user interface and it changes to the console user interface. The buttons (at least for me when I occasionally play on PC) are Xbox one buttons.
You can type on PC if you have a keyboard plugged in.
It's not a hybrid...it's one or the other but while in game pad UI you can use mouse and keyboard but the buttons are still shown as game pad UI icons.
I've seen a few reports that suggested there are issues that require additional updates or software to use ps4 controller but have not seen any feedback on PS3 controller-PC (PTS)/Xbox One: NewBlacksmurf

✭✭To work with the new Gamepad mode, controllers need to support Xinput, which doesn't apply to PS4 controllers. But you can use 3rd party software to emulate Xinput for your PS4 controller. Not sure is this will actually work with Gamepad mode, or just enable your controller to work with the game. Your Xbox360 will work fine in Gamepad mode.
Yes, chat works while in Gamepad mode. The bad news is that the new Lootdrop feature added in the same patch appears on the left of the screen, behind chat, as opposed to the right side of the screen on the PC UI. Also, most add-ons do not work in Gamepad mode (yet). I use the key-bind so I can switch to PC UI to use add-ons for crafting and inventory.
I love the Gamepad mode, since I play on a large screen TV. It makes the game MUCH easier to see, where previously I had to move closer to the screen for details, like reading email.
