These colors are Italian Baroque,1650-1800.They used bright deep colors for their clothing during that era,..for both men and women.

As Garkin say:" No, thank you"
The colors for achievements is a goal, an achivement, a prestige. There are many items for crowns, not need this. When guild Wars 2 released "the big feature" buy colors for gem, then I said No, Thank you, and good bye. This is a Buy 2 Play game, not a free to play. Ok colors is just cosmetics, but already quite annoying is that given the high cost of these costumes / pets / mounts compared to how it was the monthly fee.
I loved the monthly fee so much and the feeling, you pay for a service and you get everything, I miss you Elder Scrolls Online. Tamriel Unlimited is fair enough but that's not the same.
Emperors and empress would you like give your Ruby Thorne Red color for crown to others?Prestige colors for crown What a good idea

I have long said that tying dyes to achievements was a TERRIBLE idea. It makes customization FAR too limited. Because I am not an insane PvP fanatic I will NEVER have the only BLACK DYE in the game truly worth having. And that's just stupid.
Achievements should have MEANINGFUL rewards. Using dyes in this way was a total cop out. EVERY Achievement should have a title, even silly ones. Lots of them should actually have an awesome costume or pet. Some should have cool trinkets like the ones you get from public dungeons and some quests.
Using the dyes was just lame and lazy.

I agree with you though,in that colors should just be all for usage.I have a lot of colors on the NA server, from my first Vet.On the EU server I have less than 10,none black, and none even a good brown for leather.

I have at least 3 black dyes. Noxophilic from being a vampire which is really just gray and is in the common category. Thalmor which is a dusty black, more a really dark gray, and is in the uncommon category.
Coldharbor, which you get for defeating Molly Balls, is in the rare category but is ALSO a "dusty" dull black. It pretty much sucks.
ONLY Legate's Black is a TRUE deep dark cold looking black. And it is a ridiculously difficult to get PvP achievement. My fury at ZOS for this knows no bounds. I want to PvP the actual face of whoever came up with this system and made these choices. At the very LEAST each color should have both a PvP AND a PvE method of attaining it.

Yes, you're right. It just happened and it was the past, and the present, but colors for crown? It will maybe future, a very bad future.
