ZOS, about the costumes...

Since you aren't going to let us dye them you REALLLLLLY need to offer them in more than ONE color choice!!!! At LEAST 3 please!!! Seriously, this is breaking my heart! I WANT to give you my Crowns! I want to buy MORE Crowns! But you keep not letting me!

Also, I'm begging you, PLEASE don't make this new slate of dresses blow up our characters' boobs to "epic" proportions! The wedding dress and the black and red version of same are HORRIBLE because of that! Please say you've learned your lesson!

Santie would like this with the red in place of the purple, a dark green in place of the red and a lighter green for the grey bit.

This one thinks the gold would still go well with those colours.

I believe they selected purple because it was historically the color of royalty and this piece is supposed to be a display of "wealth". I would also like it in more colors however.

The lack of recolors suggests the possibility that costume dyes are coming. It will be easier that way.

They've outright said they have no plans to do this. We would all love for them to change their minds on this but I've seen no indication that they will.

I like purple. Most of my boys wear purple somewhere. However, as it's a dress and I have no female characters, I probably won't buy it, purple or otherwise.

It's not so much the purple I object to as the combination of purple and red on the same outfit. It's garish, tacky, hideous and not "noble" at all!

I disagree. It looks pretty much exactly like other nobility clothing from Medieval Europe, red and purple were frequently used together in that time period.

Merely pointing out the color combo was quite common in the era. Argue about tones all you want but this is a fantasy MMO, I don't think it's a huge stretch of the imagination that with magic their colors could be as vibrant as we are seeing. Although you do not like the color combination we have both agreed it was something nobles would wear during the era. Personally if I had a female character I played a lot I would consider it as I think it looks pretty cool for a "Sorceress" kinda look. I would appreciate having alternate colors for all the outfits though.

I'd give anything to be able to dye costumes. I don't buy them for that reason. If we could dye them, I would buy almost every one in the store. I hate looking like everyone else.

Oh I'll preview it on a character when it becomes available and see if I hate it as much as I think I do right now. It's POSSIBLE I could change my mind. It just could have been done so much better with just a few small changes. le sigh

I think they would sell more costumes if we were able to dye them than they would with issuing recoloured costumes. If dyeable costumes would totally kill the game code in some way though then I'd take a choice of colours in the store as a second best option.

I know I'd have bought more costumes if I could have changed the colour myself. It's often not the costume that I don't like but the choices of colour used.

I'd also love to be able to wear my usual headgear with any costume. That's pretty important for me as I am still using my lucky level 14 hat.

Yeah I'm not sure what the coding issues are that they don't even want to consider making the costumes dyeable. But failing that, offering them in more colors really does just make sense. It's cheap and easy for them to do and they already do it for mounts so you'd think they'd realize it's the smart thing to do for costumes as well.

Londo Mollari approves of this Dress!

Its nice enough for those who want "royal princess" clothes. Though I have to agree the design would be well served by adding some other color schemes to the store. One in "night colors" black blue and silver would go well for many a vampire lady, which is what I suspect has been thought about here...

But who knows, they may release a different coloration later on, it would certainly buff up the crown store at little extra effort on their part... I know I would buy that (too) for a handfull of crowns...
