Weapon Ultimates Suggestions

Lets expand and discuss potential weapon ultimates.

2 Hand:
Buzzsaw
Cast time - instant
Target- area
Radius - 12m
Duration - 8 seconds
Cost - 300 ultimate
Spin in a moving circle swinging your 2hand weapon at all enemies in your path for 8 seconds. Each attack deals 6200 physical damage and returns 15% as Health. Weapon attack speed increases spin speed. Spin to Win.

1 Hand and Shield:
Sky Shield Slam
Cast Time - instant
Target - area
Radius - 18m
Duration - 8 seconds
Cost - 130 ultimate
Leap high in the sky and come crashing down with your shield onto the ground stunning all in the area for 8 seconds. Enemies caught in the slam take 20% extra damage from all sources and have healing reduced by 20% for 6 seconds. Grants user Major Protection reducing their damage taken by 8% and also grants user immunity to knockback and disabling effects for 8 seconds.

Dual Wield:
Frenzy
Cast Time - instant
Target - Enemy
Cost - 90 ultimate per second
Each light attack increases attack speed by 10% and weapon damage by 125 until ultimate is depleted. During this duration the user’s damage taken is capped at 30% max HP. Each successful hit returns 8% damage as stamina.

Bow:
Rapid Fire
Cast Time - instant
Target - enemy
Duration - 7 seconds
Range - 20m
Cost - 175
The archer fires a rapid assault of 21 arrows at its target over 7 seconds. Each arrow ignores 2% more armor than the previous arrow and applies knockback. The final arrow ignores 100% target armor and applies 2450 poison damage per second for 3 seconds.

Destruction staff:
Elemental Pool
Cast Time - instant
Target - area
Duration - 9 seconds
Radius - 18m
Cost - 250 ultimate
Each staff drops an Elemental pool radius 18m. The pool last for 9 seconds and does 2560 elemental damage per second. Allies can activate a synergy in accordance to the elemental staff used:

Restoration Staff:
Earth Wall
Cast Time - instant
Target - area
Duration - 12 seconds
Radius -15m
Cost - 130 ultimate
The user creates an Earth Wall barrier to protect allies from single direction attacks. The wall absorbs 18500 damage plus an additional 1850 damage for each allies within 8m of the wall.     not a fan of the 2h, dw nor sword n board.

    the melee ones should be cheap, useful yet balanced, atm your ones are actually negatives due to forcing the player into a possition where the enemy can abuse your stance.

    much rather see the 2handed hit for the damage of one wrecking blow, with a root, forcing the enemy to use stamina up to escape or get pummeled harder, a foot slam of sorts.

    i'm half and half on your DW, like the idea of speedy attacks but for standard attacks thats crippling, rather see a sort of ambush type ability where you dive in and lash at them 3 times in one second with a bleed at the end, basically an ambush, flurry and twin slash all in one.

    with the shields i'd much rather see a sort of defensive mode, as your idea leaves you out of action for a moment then controllable, if anything it needs a sort of "you shall not pass" type of thing going on for it, so i suggest an ultimate that hit the enemy for the damage you block and blocking costs no stamina (still freezes regen tho) for 5 seconds, so you either plow into the target and risk killing yourself or back off him before he wears you out of both stamina and life

    The DW ultimate i based off Sorc overload, just a stamina option. I restricted it to light attacks because heavy take too long.
    SnB ultimate maybe needs some damage?

    we need more of those before we need an ulti for the armor tree tbh, more benifits for wearing pieces, also wanna see passives being 4+ pieces rather than 5, so that you can spread out armor alittle more

    what i mean is with leap they know your there till you land so they'd use this to move away then plow into you right after.
    with the spin they can just range kite you and theres nothing you can do to stop them due to the spin being a channel

    oh you mean for PVP...got it.

    Well good players could combo the sky slam eg: any form of CC them ult onto enemy.
    Crit charge into Spin to Win could be fantastic

    Currently players can kite and/or reflect almost all ultimates, i see no problem there.

    Its always interesting to see these ideas but that sword and shield one, just no. When fighting those enemies (another example being ice wraiths) whenever someone is in that animation they are immune to damage and cannot be targeted. Just, way to clunky. Some of the others sound cool but their inspirations are clearly designed for the original game and would turn out to be significantly overpowered in this games combat.

    As others have mentioned, having weapon ultimates be cheaper utilities that compliment the class (thinking things like Soul Harvest and Empowering Sweep) would be easier to implement in game. These would have to keep in mind the skill trees current skills (ie, the 2h ultimate would have to be balanced with the likelihood of WB spam) but these skills, as cool as they could be, seem a bit out of place in style and gameplay. Still an interesting post however.
