More Gore - Splashing Red due to Clashing Mettle

I would like to ask ZoS if they could add a feature that allows for the inclusion of blood during battles? Combat just seems incomplete without at least a little mess. And of course this can be a personal option feature, scaling between light, medium, heavy blood.

I've been waiting for an MMO that will push the envelope even a little; and this one has potential to raise the bar even if its just a bit. Features like vampires siphoning blood from the helpless victims already show some gore, so why not during fights?

If ZoS saw fit to include a sound effect of swords clashing every once and again, whenever the player and the NPCs swords are within close proximity of each other during a swing. Perhaps changing the sword swinging animation entirely, so it doesn't look like players are swinging a bat. Include more stylish sword fighting animations. Such animations could be added in a DLC that decides to players the opportunity to master focus on their particular weapon prowess. Maybe an animation like the Nord Titanborn does when putting her battleaxe away.

Such additions would make the game so much better, and authentic to a medieval period. Right now there is too much focus on only making magic/spell casting effects look cool. Please consider this suggestion.

Sorry but this can;t work for few reason.

    1. Coding in the programs and blood animation.
    2. The frame rate would just die 10X over from just 2 or 4 people fighting.

If they add more blood, then they might as well bring back the old-style female clothing. It's only fair.

There are many ways to incorporate blood in to the game, without compromising the frame rate. Plus, I'm not saying it has to be a pool of the stuff... just enough to look somewhat "realistic".

They aren't going to put blood in game for two reasons: added lag as stated by Forestd and the 2nd is same reason they took sexy female clothing out. Under age players playing games that are rated for adults. If you need more gore then do as it was done in Skyrim and make a mod but when you are plagued with lag then you will know why.

What are underage players doing playing a game for adults? That's like taking... everything out of GTAO because of underage players.

Don't you know that boobs are way more damaging to the "moral fabric of society" that any kind or amount of graphic violence? No one knows what "the moral fabric of society" is but that is what they say.
Watch some TV? Last time I checked a few years ago that TV stuff still existed.

Exactly but kids are going to do what kids do when parents aren't around. I lean more twords the added lag over anything. Your not going to stop underage game play till they come up with thumb print analysis or some other forms of age verification and that leads to another way to be tracked.

You will get alot of arguments against adding anything in game as everyone wants lag and other bugs fixed before adding more in game bugs.

Including or not including the ability for females to wear scanty or sexy attire, is not the same as having an option to turn blood on, and or to turn off the ability to see others blood splashes. So it just sounds like skepticism to me, and nothing definitive to prove that there would be lag as a result.

Each connecting sword swing causes a small burst of blood to fly out mid swing will not create lag in the least. If that were true... we would be dealing with lag already due to all the sorcerers casting lightning and such in the same vicinity. And lightning is way more chaotic than blood splatters.

Not to mention the fade would be only a matter of seconds.

I proposed this idea because I have never experienced lag in the game that was worthy of note, or at all, for that matter. I wasn't aware that others were dealing with it either. I guess I know now. It still would be nice to have some gore, even on a small level, if they can pull it off.

I agree. More gore and more world awareness. So many times the characters don't feel like they are "in" the world. If it's added it should be toggleable so that players who can't handle it, due to squeamish stomachs or crappy network connections, can turn it off.

    +1 from me.

Don't worry about the "lag and bug" naysayers. They'll always be there... just like lag and bugs.

Yeah it would but lag is the ugly monster we PC peeps live with day in and day out. Not sure about our console brethern. Jump in Cyridill and ck out the PvP lag. PvP in this game is great and if they ever get the lag out it will be some of the best. Players aren't against new ideas as a whole but those whom have been here since beta would like the kinks worked out first before adding more bugs for any reason. Some players just more tolerable than others. The only beta players you will find left are the ones whom truly love the game.

I saw "splashing red" and had a flashback to my Magic the Gathering days, when that meant adding red cards to your deck. Lol. If you want wanton crazy violence in a video game, play NFL Blitz.

I don't want "An MMo" with blood... I want ESO to have more blood. Big difference.

More gore in any way gets my vote!
I like ma games gritty for the extra immersion... and if not everyone agrees, well, they cal always kame it as an DLC pack for purchase so only those who want it get it. Like... say... some sort ot "brutality pack"? ;)
