Are you sure you've thought this through, can you do the same for pve'ers in some manner? what it's resulting in is nulfying pve content for pvp'ers but there is nothing that supports the other way round. I want my akavari, I have to play pvp? Please consider the balance and encouraging people to play a span of content. This change doesn't seem right to me.

    In that example, no.
You can get a pvper to sell you the chapters for gold.

So I have to pay gold for something that I can't get just for enjoying the game for the content I love like you can with AP? The same goes for this new system, if I want quick perfect trait I have to spend gold but a pvp'er can simply spend their AP for what is relatively free by comparison. And yes, I know you buy potions, we all do to play our content, it is free in comparison.

EDIT: Moreover, you're suggesting I give gold to a player because his content costs me money and yet I can sell no PvE loot that I enjoy in my content of choice (VMSA)

BoP vs. BoE and which traits are still being discussed.

I want to say thank you for getting us into the loop now but I want to say something about traits. I made a quick chart to see which traits i've been getting in wrothgar (msa and world drops) and well fitted is very common to the point that even seeing it is frustrating. I would however want to see the trait, but not have it be a penalty for using, any ideas if the itemization team is going to rework traits any time soon*?

I really just wish the pvp skill lines weren't so darn hard to level. I do enjoy a bit of pvp but holy smokes. That's all I've been doing for two weeks now and that bar is barely moving. The fact that my stamplar has to have the skills in that line to be successful in end game pve is a whole nother argument for some other time/thread.
I say the same thing about undaunted I hate it.It's worst than Grinding and it moves so slow.I feel like blowing my brains out doing it.PVP is what I enjoy during but I need it to maximize my builf so I have to PVE is that fair?In my opinion its easier to level Assault if you know what your doing.

As a pve'r I guess I just don't know what I'm doing. Raising undaunted took hardly any time it seemed, as I was just finishing dungeons and doing pledges. This assault line is the bane of my existence however. I kill some people, take some keeps, move on. But the bar just barely creeps forward. At the rate I'm going now I'll be where I need to be in a few months lol.
It's cool as a PVPer it feels the same way doing dungeons.I just don't k ow what I am doing.I guess am one of the lucky one sinced I have 3 Good guildmates and friends who like doing both so it's more manageable at times but I still hate it when their during good and am the only one wiping.I have to ask what are you going after I got magical det on my main at vet 5 it wasn't really that hard.Hey keep trying you will get it soon.

If you are giving the PvP population a way to skip PvE content the same should be done the other way as well. Give access to PvP skills items and gear in PvE, it's ridiculous that you force people to PvP but not PvE. Are you really going to let PvP players sell to people who only PvE and not allow PvE people make gold from selling dungeon items? Truly ridiculous. Glad to see the way this game is going though.

I cannot stand playing IC, it gets boring so fast. But I have to buy the premium jewelry from people who farm it.

Correct. AP OR Gold will be usable to purchase the items on the merchant. To also be clear, it will not be a combination of both to purchase an item. EG. If you want a Lord Warden Shoulder piece (or any of the gear that appears on the merchant) you will spend either AP or gold, but not AP + Gold.

Can you think about making the alliance war skill line a bit easier for people to fill out. If you can't make it easier, then could you consider it being account wide? Even some top level players just can't keep their ults up to date with that skill line and it has some of the most important skills in the game for PVE players.

I hope you can put a little bit of thought into that. Maybe think about the role of tanks in PVE and PVP too. I expect you all, and no that you want, players to be able to go back and forth between PVP and PVE with minimal changes, but that is really tough for tanks to do and still be effective.

    Thank you for reading @ZOS_BrianWheeler

I do not like Cyrodil at all, cannot stand anything about it. I was fine not getting the skills because I skipped the conten. But now PvP players can get the top end Dungeon gear AND make money selling PvP items. Are you kidding me?

The economy now sucks in this game, it was wrecked with Orsinium release. Damn, I guess PvP players how to cry to ZoS and get catered to.

There seems to be some confusion about this system being unfair towards pvp players, which is not the case.

    1) pvp players need to do many gold keys (=pve content) to get the monster shoulders, this is the same for all players.

    2) anyone can buy the monster mask (pvp and pve) because you can get it with AP or gold.

    3) you dont make any gold with pvp, it only costs a lot of gold.

I think both the undaunted and alliance skill lines should be allowed to be lvl'd like any other skill line. I hate doing undaunted pledges and I know some ppl hate doing pvp. Each of those activities already have rewards to look forward to, PVP= skill points, Undaunted Pledges =Monster Masks and shoulders. New players would benefit greatly from having their alliance skill line fully leveled when entering Cyrodill.

    1) undaunted= 20 Minutes a day for a month or so Alliance rank- half a year(not 100% sure how long it took first person to get it) continuous pvp

    2) you can also get it with doing AP which you passively get while playing, i dont earn tokens doing pledges/trials/vMA/vDSA and then spend them on helms,

3)you make lots of alliance points passively which you can then sell for gold, also PvE costs gold nowadays because everything is BoP. all the new PvE sets from IC and Orsinium are all bound.

Dont get me wrong im not asking them to take any of those things away from the pure PvPers, im asking them to ADD something for the pure PvErs ,they need to find a balance otherwise people will leave. and none of us want that.

and for the record i do both PvE and PvP.

Yes, exactly, if I want the gear I am forced to do PvE. The same should apply to PvE players who want PvP skill lines. I don't want to do the dailies, but I do because I want certain things from the PvE content. Toughen up folks. Some time in PvP will likely benefit you down the road in end game PvE content. It's a different ballgame fighting people vs. npcs.

The only ball game in PVP is damage.
You even get bonus 5k hp so you can build all damage

I'm still confused why people don't want others to get the same things they have without making them suffer through something they don't like.

Let PVP buy keys to unlock chests with monster helms
Let both sides level up skill lines by using skills in that line.

I think that Alliance War skills should require PvP and there should be no PVE option, but I'd be fine with making it account wide. I kind of want to bail on EP and swap to DC for PvP, but I can't be bothered to get my Alliance War trees up to Rank 10 again.

I know I am going to get a hell of a lot of trolling but let PvEers have a way of getting PvP skills to use in PvE even if you can't use them in PvP without the alliance rank requirements. something like completing quests including sidequests in your non silver or gold zones would work. since one side can skip something the other side should be able to as well it is only fair. @ZOS_BrianWheeler @ZOS_GinaBruno

I think everyone has been talking about alternatives to RNG.

I don't care if PVPers can spend AP on dropped gear. its going to be limited to a few pieces each week. it might be a month or 2 till the other pieces comes around so they might just keep running Dungeons for the remaining peices. I think its a great idea. I'd like to see more things like this. PVP rewards of the worth are typically junk with junk traits most of the time.

I would like AP be able to be deposited in your bank and shared across all characters just like TV stones.

I think tokens should be given in PVE for achievements (dungeons, fishing, stealing, crafting ... ) All achievements.

The same tokens should be given for completing dailies in IC, ORS, Crag, Cyro, etc. Each dungeon boss should drop some. Trials should give you a bunch. Treasure chests, Dolmen chests, IC chest, MSA chests, etc. should have them.Random mobs should have a chance to drop them. Elite mobs and bosses should be guaranteed to drop them, but only in Champion zones once the vet ranks are removed.

They should be given for quest completion in Vet Zones, retroactive since launch, since there are those who like to grinder their toons to max level and others who play through the content again and again. The grinder gets reward with quick leveling and the quest doers gets rewards for extending content.

There should be guaranteed ways to get them, with a chance for more, and the they should go in with the RNG.

All PVP and Undaunted sets should be available at these special vendors. Honestly all Masters weapons should as well but maybe at like 5-10x the price.

I know people would be afraid they'd put these tokens or AP up on the crown store.

    Well,

PvP players will be getting a vendor giving access to undaunted monster helms and shoulders for AP and/or gold and that is a good change players who don't want to PvE have access to beat in slot monster helms and shoulders they want, cool.

That leaves two outstanding changes that need to come along.

Assault and support skill lines should ever opened up to all players upon reaching Veteran Ranks or Level 50 for not previously attained through PvP experience.

PvP players need a way to level undaunted skills and passives in Cyrodil or IC.

PvP players don't have to PvE

PvE players don't have to PvP

Everyone can play the game how hey want with access to everything they want.

While completely fair and unbiased someone will go nuts guaranteed.

Well that is not 100% true if you want to play IC you need to enter PvP zone hopefull you dont get kill well you try to get there and when you are in IC you more or less are force to PvP as PvE player and if need to craft motif to make Xivkyn set you can only buy from a vendor in IC which only want Tel Var Stones for it so what do a PvE player need to do yes the need to start kill other player which is fast way to get those Tel Var Stones so pls dont sit there and tell us that "PvE players don't have to PvP" for the do need to do PvP if want thing in this game.

Loving this idea (very similar to what they do in Destiny with Xur) and its kind of a crown store for in-game players that wish to spend gold/ap on quality items that are not overpriced or fluctuate with what the traders say it should be worth (which is usually WAY above what most players can actually afford, eg 1.4million for V14 Elf Bane Chest piece, yeah ok laughable). If your offering items that are not available to crafters or traders then your not cutting into their market which is great too!

A merchant like this where you can offer items for a limited time is just what this game needs plus its open to PvE & PvP players with the option of gold or ap, yep excellent idea well overdue!!
