What sets do you recommend for Templar end game healing?

Hey all,
I have been away from the game for a while, and I am unsure as to what gear would be best for my Breton Templar healer. I am in the process of gathering the mats to craft some V16 gear, and I don't want to waste them. For what it's worth, I have about 240 champion points, if that makes a difference.

What would be the perfect end game gear set up? If it involves dropped sets, are there any suitable crafted replacements for those?

If you want to stick with crafted sets, I'd do 5 piece Kagrenac's Hope, then julianos, Magnus, or seducer for the rest. Willpower jewelry is pretty cheap so I'd use that too.

3Willpower- buy health ones .It will cost you around 100k even with health. Enchant them with Reduced cost /regen or spell power.

I don't necessarily want to stick to crafted, it's just that I don't have any dropped sets at this time and needed a crafted set to fill in for that. Are there dropped sets that would be better?

Nothing . Because Spell power cure is the set you will never actually get due to insane rng.

I have a full spell power cure set :P
I use 2 torugs, 3 willpower and 1 kena with it on my magicka nb dd/healer

And semi-impossible to get, much less with good traits. While it's reasonable easy to farm difficulty wise, the drop rate so horribly bad you're looking at months of running vWGT(unless one of those lucky guys everyone hates). Most players aren't lucky tho.

If you start farming now, will most likely be obsolete by the time you get it with Thief's Guild DLC coming out with new itemization.

Also extra annoying, because dps only wants to run vWGT to get the helm, once they get it, they're no longer interested in helping healers get spell cure. Fully understandable.

I've done vWGT maybe 80 times and I only have one single piece of spell cure with decent trait. I also dont have a full set.

Just saying, OP's really better of making something crafted and ignoring that crap altogether, to avoid insanity.

Ok, so without having the Spell Power Cure set, is the 5 piece Kagrenac's considered to be the go to crafted set for healing? I have the Willpower jewelry (2 arcane, one healthy) and can make most other sets.

i´m using kagreancs+ willpower(arcane) + 3x archmage
willpower is so easy to farm its sloppy to not have all three pices as arcane.

gave up on SPC 8x wellfitted boots till now ...

5x kagrenac's hope
4x magnus
2x healthy willpower rings spell damage x2
1x arcane necklace, regen or cost reduction

Atronach mundus, infused on big pieces divines on rest all magicka glyphs.

This will give you somewhere around 2k regen buffed, 40k magicka, 3100-3200 spell power buffed and around 18k-19k health.

Ok, so 5 Kagrenac will give me max magicka, magicka recovery, max health, spell damage and faster rez. I have the 3 Willpower which is max magicka and spell damage (one healthy, 2 arcane). This gives me:

Max magicka bonus x 2, also have 2 willpower with arcane
Magicka recovery bonus x 1
Max health bonus x 1, also have one willpower with healthy
Spell damage bonus x 2
*I can enchant the Willpower jewelry for either spell damage, magicka regen, or cost reduction
*I will enchant armour pieces with Max magicka

After that, I have 3 more pieces that can be made into set pieces, as I run resto/destro for heals.

I can go for:
Seducer/Magnus which will give me max magicka and magicka recovery
Torugs which will give me spell damage and health
Julianos which gives me spell crit and max magicka

Given these choices, which 3 piece would you recommend, and how would you recommend I enchant the Willpower pieces?

EDIT: I forgot to mention I do not PVP, so PVP gear is out.

Magnus for the last 3.

Extra recovery is never a bad thing for a healer, especially those oh *** moments some crap mechanic causes issues (like tank going into cage in wgt) it let's you fire off those breath of life's like candy making sure no one dies. Also the extra magicka = stringer heals.

5x krag 4x (or in your case 3x) magnus is always a good solid choice.

Although I would recommend dw on your main bar, or even sword and board. Why?

Dual wield will add several hundred spell power, my healer use dw on main bar with breath of life (off bar I use purifying, combat prayer and rapid regen to keep heals up) as the spell power will make your heals even stronger.

Also it's important to remember as a healing you should be doing damage too, not just healing, but throwing down damage to get the fight over with quicker is vital imo.

For a range build you could use Blazing spear (stam for your tank too!) With dark flare, or reflective light for a DoT too.

Also radiant destruction should be on your bar for execute phase of boss.

To me that's what makes a good healer, I also keep dps up whilst healing through dots and spears.

Thanks again for all of the input. Also, is Archmage BoE? If it's BoP, then that is out as I do not PVP.

As for dual wield, I am currently working on leveling that. I am at about 39 or so, so fairly close, but not close enough to have even one point in the last passive. Until then, it's resto/destro.

Yes the grind for SPC is a long one, had to do appr. 150-200 runs and still running with 1 reinforced! If U dont have the time or patiance I would go with 4 Magnus 1 Kena 3 Torugs / 5 Seducer 1 Kena 2 Torugs Willpower X3 SD enchants and mundus I would adjust acc what race you are! Good luck

The drop rates suck but Cyro Dolmens give good XP and you can obtain the Shroud of the Lich set.

I am using it as a healer and buffed I have 3K spell damage and 3.5K magic recovery...Not many set options can balance a build like that.

Each piece is expensive and I farmed for 3 weeks straight (some long hours) only to obtain one piece...

I use shroud of the lich (5pc as a buff bar), 5pc Julianos, 3pc willpower arcane.

Negatives of the build:
A lot of bar swapping, get proficient at that...bad timing could be a death to you or someone in the wrong moment.

Positives of the build:
I can casually pop breath of life for an unlimited duration of time when supplementing with potions.

With more champ points I will actually remove a reduce cost enchant on one of my jewelry and move them all to spell damage increasing my spell damage to almost 3.2K with the recovery still at 3.5k (more with the additional champion points).

These sets are easy to get and work well.

1 Molag Kena (till you have this you can use another Torug's or Engine Guardian Monster set

Thanks all, I really appreciate your input!

What traits would you recommend for the weapons? For now, I am using resto staff for healing, and destro staff for buffs/dps/utility. I was thinking infused for resto to improve magicka gain from enchant, and maybe nirn for destro.

Any thoughts?

Healing staff precise, as more % crit is more crit heals

Nirn for dps/offensive bar. 18% pen and 18% resistance buff is just too good

my gear as an end-game templar healer is:
5 kagrenac's
3 willpower
1 kena
1 random monster set piece that gives increased health (always nice to be a bit more beefy as the role that is supposed to keep others alive and buffed)
2 torug swords
1 maelstrom resto (not atm but im going to try to get one as i plan on using rapid regen)
