Yeah I googled about Florida's laws to answer someone's question as to why they were excluded. Its not hard people, and you cannot expect a developer to come to your reply and tell you why your government put in that law, its also not Zenimax's fault.

True, another prize like that would be nice. Especially for the crowns offered. But I guess they would have had to create a whole separate contest? Since the prize is different for different countries, it would make the contest more confusing. Perhaps they are even now sorting out a new one for excluded countries?

Yeah, they probably dropped the ball on that. But guessing by some of the responses from ZOS, they probably have been planning this for quite some time and already had put a lot of legal paperwork together before they realized these countries have all these limitations. Lawyers cost money, so revising all of the rules and regulations, prize lists, marketing materials, etc. would have cost additional money and delayed the contest as well.

The only thing about NY is that it needs to be bonded so they can't actually turn around and say "Sorry, no money for you"

If they had thought about this even a little bit, they should have done an in game lottery and not a cash award. Use the cash for fixing the game which desperately needs it.

In game awards, everyone would be eligible.

not allowed any aids mechanical or otherwise. Imagine the pressure, you are the winnner, from canada 1 million dollars all you have to do is answer a basic maths question but the nerves get to you and you fail. no cash prize.

As many concluded this is now not about milion dollars but 3000 crowns, so it's not against the law, virtual money isn't the same as real ones. So the discussions last...

Zenimax would have to create a whole new giveaway just for the crowns to make everyone eligible. They couldn't make that giveaway available only to those that can't sign up for the main giveaway though, so people would still complain because some people get to enter both contests and they can't.

Reason: a spanish player can't buy any lottery ticket concerning money prizes from other countries. A spanish citizen can buy a lottery ticket of another country if he or she travels to that other country and buy it there. If she or he wins, the money has to be declared to the government and pay the appropriate tax.

Anyway, nothing is prohibiting us receiving digital yummies like crowns
