One of the things I really miss about previous MMO's I have played (one of them in particular) was the holiday like events that gave you the chance to get a cool mount / pet / costume and neat on use items such as a "magic wand" that fired fireworks into the air when used!!
However with that said... we probably won't ever have anything cool like that in this game as the Lore Junkies would threaten to leave in droves... all 100 of them.

I agree. I love the holiday stuff. However, we went over this subject thoroughly prior to Halloween and the "lore Nazis" literally had a fit, even threatened to quit the game, if any real life holidays or any lore unfroendly costumes made it into the game. ZOS is trying to make things happen like you and I want but I'm afraid the outcry from the "lore Nazis" may scare them off.
Then just celebrate Saturalia instead, lore nazis will have no arguments. let everyone be able to go to a special instanced wayrest for a traditional party, minigames, and prizes.
For any "what the bleep is blank doing in wayrest he she is in another alliance" comments: what idiot would say "I am your enemy but came just for the party"

-When the VR system is completely removed
-After VR is removed...and hopefully things wont be CP instead of VR
-After the grouping tools are updated
-After the Cyrodil lag is fixed
-After loading screens are resolved
THEN....I hope we can see the team offer some cool things.
-Just my opinion, none of this is per ZOS

MMOs are rarely finished, but they still manage to have some form of community events for their players.

Raids? We don't do no steenking raids in ESO!
That's one thing this game is SERIOUSLY lacking.

I think you misunderstood my post. I meant the Dragons raid Skyrim not us raid the Dragons lol
...I just wanna see Skyrim under siege by Dragons is all
Most of you have played other MMOs: you're aware then that most of them have phony holidays which give "free" stuff away at the cost of a bit of a grind. Why doesn't this game do that? Is it too special? Even the various grinds this game offers have a pretty low chance of giving you anything any good. How many of you have been grinding grinding grinding and still don't have enough glass recipe fragments for even a single recipe or still don't have the recipe for the experience potion? Given that 'tis the season, why don't the good people at Zenimax seem to be in the least infected with the spirit of generosity? Just curious.
