Well, it's a fantasy world and even in Grimm's fairytales you burn witches. It's just a story. That's why I do not consider TESO as violent. It's all fiction.

Also there's prostitution at some point :P

Oh well, prostitution exists also in real life. It's not a crime. I regard it just as a "realistic" element in the ESO world.

Besides if anything I bet an M rated game will sell much better than a T rated game just because of the rating especially to those who are not supposed to have it. if it was AO then it would be a problem for sales.

Ah, you were referring to the 1996 version of Daggerfall. A true gem! I thought they ripped some game elements from the ESO Daggerfall. Sorry for the confusion.

They censored The Real Barenziah after Daggerfal. The sexual content in the original version was pretty explicit. Khajiit are exactly like cats in quite interesting ways...
Daggerfall didn't have any issues with nudity in general. It was restricted later, though Morrowind at least had the House of Earthly Delights, which was pretty clear about its purpose. Skyrim had what, a horker's tusk in Haelga's bedroom?


Anyhow, ESO has lots of murder, mutilated bodies, drinking games and references to drugs and sex. So I think the M rating is justified.

Wasn't Oblivion rated T at one time? I believe it had all this and more. it was only changed when someone found a nudity mesh in the games unused files...
