I love rain what can I say ☔️
My ex gf in Australia used to call me mate all the time. I could never get used to it xDYeah I suppose you're right, dudeI must say on the other hand I don't think I've ever called anyone mate though.
She used to wear flannel shirts and talk like a dude (not her voice, just the mannerisms). Made me feel like the girl in the relationship.

So did she say "I'm a man." or "I'm transgendered/transsexual." There is a difference.
Never assume anything about anyone's real gender.
I know quite a few women in ESO. They usually don't really play male characters for whatever reason. The other way around definitely doesn't hold up... plenty of guys who play female characters. Not that I have any right to complain about that.
It gets really confusing when you refer to them in third person while talking to other people and you're not sure if you should just say "she" because of the character or "he" because he's actually a guy IRL

When I was playing Aion someone in the guild kept flirting with the wife of one of the guildies. The married couple decided to meet in real life with the guildie. Then the wife started cheating with the guildie and they got a divorce. Then the cheaters broke up shortly after. It kind of soured the whole game for me after I heard what happened. Games are pretty risky when it comes to relationships.
Best place to meet someone is in real life at locations where you share common interests or circumstance.

Holy crap, that's terrible man.
On the forums in my last MMO, some guy made a post "How this game ruined my life", and it was somewhat similar. His girlfriend was basically becoming more and more distant and secretive while playing this game. One day he caught her saying some pretty intimate things to some guy inside the game.
As it turns out, they got together in the end, and the guy she met online MOVED IN WITH THEM because the other guy had no where else to go. He said he died a little more inside every time he could "hear them".

Chapter 1: Don't trust anyone
I'll admit, I dated this girl I met on ESO. Well, I wouldn't say "dated". We were close, to be sure, but nothing ever officially announced. I knew this person for a long time, and they never asked anything of me, just my company. I thought that was sweet.
Now I'm not a RPer by any means, but to make her happy we'd go to various taverns, have a drink, sit by the fire and just enjoy each other to the fullest. It was nice, because it made me glad to be able to bring her happiness, even if it meant doing something I felt awkward taking part in. Though I neglected to mention to her it made me feel awkward!
We exchanged a lot of personal details, stories, life changing events. She knows more about me than any one on these forums would, and I've shared a fair bit as you know. Heh.
It came to a point where she wanted to go further than friendship and felt the need to lay some truths out on the table. I will list them in no particular order.
1. She had a small scar on her arm (Hey, no problem)
2. She was scared (It's ok. We all feel that way at some point. It's one of the things that makes us human)
3. She thought I was cute and showed my picture to most of her friends (Not worried too much. Flattered if anything!)
4. She was a man (Well sometimes we.. wait, what?)
And that's how I dated a man for 3 months.
