Why Trials and Dragonstar arena are not for VR16???

I have character VR16. I like trials and Dragonstar arena, but rewards VR14 are useless to me. I really do not understand developers of Zenimax. They created nice content 3 Trials and DSA (it si very hard work), then change top rank for VR16 and that the content they kill. Is it normal?

And answer from Zenimax for this question is:
We created new Trial for VR16 in future content.

WTF? So ... They kill for me 3 trials and DSA and give me (for other money) 1 trial for VR16.

I like this game, but developers kill this game by their steps.

    The devellopers could not SCALE UP the actual Trials in the game because it take time, ressource and a lot of coding.
    However, they are going to bring some changes to make this content relevant with the next DLC.

    IIRC they said they simply didn't have the manpower (time) to do it between the releases of consoles, champion system, and everything else they have been working on. I'm pretty sure they are having a discussion about this now or in the very near future. Or not, and they want us to all purchase the newest trial to play at v16. Maybe now that Wrothgar has been released for all platforms @ZOS_RichLambert can start releasing ZOS's plans to revive their dying endgame.

    In regards to the rewards, we do not currently have plans to increase the levels of the Trials or Dragonstar arena. That being said, in the Thieves Guild, we will be offering level appropriate Weekly rewards for completing this content.

    I do not want your new DLC Thieves guild. I do not interesting about thieves. You want only new money, money, money for game, which is worse and worse.

    Just by the by, you likely will not have to buy the Thieve's Guild DLC to benefit from this as, from my understanding, the system is already in place and will just be part of the "Base Game Patch" changes.

    I do agree with you though, I don't see why it's such a hard thing to scale these up just like a veteran pledge. Some of the sets would still be really cool, but we can't use them due to VR12 lols.

    I do not think so, they took me Dragon star Arena and Trials, when they Increased level for VR16 and they does not give new raid challange. Instead they give Imperial city and Wrotghart ... without raid chalage, without Arena for 4 people.

    Same problem is with sets. There is very much sets in game, but how many can use for my VR16? Why all sets is not for VR16?

    Increase level on VR16 without change end game content, is very, very terrible mistake. New DLCs with new bugs, that will not save.

    Sorry, but I am very frustrated by this developers.

    This is the same annoying mistake I've seen by many MMO's. They create new content for which all the best gear can be obtained, thereby making old content irrelevant. Then they wonder why people don't do the old content any more, and eventually scrap the old content. I personally find it frustrating, and I'm hopeful they'll have a better solution for this (like the removal of veteran levels).

    All this is irrelevant, when they remove VR and max level is 50. Even that VR10 Soulshine set you found, it will be good at Level 50 scalling :) (shame for the jewelry cannot upgrade them).

    I wouldn't be sure there. I would reckon some pieces will top out at x CP.

    Nope, it'll be champion rank gear, so old sets that are currently vr10 will be champion rank 100, where as new sets will be champion rank 200 etc

    I suspect that the VR10 Soulshine will become level 100 CP Soulshine, and will be just as weak for a level 160 CP player as it currently is for a VR16.

    However, talk of Level 50 scaling is irrelevant in this context. If they can't scale the current content to VR then it will be a very long time before it scales to "Level 50" - though even then VR14 content will probably scale to 140 CP content so the OP's problem will not have been addressed.

    If they scaled trials to v16 like they did with dungeons, most people would not be able to complete them at all. V16 vet dungeons are much harder than the old v12 versions. They probably need manual changes instead of a "let's triple their hp and quadruple their damage" approach.

    Bosses can be taunted so only the tank is receiving most of the damage. I was thinking more about trash pulls, which is where I could feel the buff easily.

    Don't get me wrong, I love this new difficulty. I just don't think trials can be buffed the same way and still be balanced.

    The devs can pick the brains of experienced Trial players to get some feedback about buffing the Trials.

    I really do not understand why you would make these trials irrelevant with nothing to take there place. I could see if IC came with a new 12 player trial and Wrothgar a new 4 player trial, but currently we are waiting for the Thieves Guild to get any new competitive group leaderboard play.

    I understand Maelstrom Arena is a "trial" but I play an MMO to complete content with friends, not sit in offline mode for 3 plus hours a day farming Maelstrom for gear. If I wanted solo play I'd fire up Skyrim or go purchase the myriad of solo player games available.

    I hope in the future each quarterly DLC will cater to all three playstyles. Solo questing/public dungeons, group oriented dungeons and pvp updates.

    I would imagine this is the "ultimate" goal next year.

    What my friends and I would really like however is to get dropped to level 50 and have gear scale to your CP. This means so much old gear would be viable again. It may well be very difficult to implement but knowing that I could go anywhere in game and pick up an item and know it could be useful would be fantastic.

    All this great gear (Eternal Yokeda, Vicious Ophidian, Healer, Sun, etc) that no-one uses and no-one will use for a long time would instantly be viable again.

    However, I get the feeling that gear will scale with CP but only to max "seasonal" caps. For example "base game" gear only maxing at ~160 CP, IC gear maxing at ~250 CP, Orsinium gear at ~501 CP, etc. This would be tragic in my opinion.

    Obviously I have no genuine idea, I am just postulating, but it seems to good to be true that all the great base-game sets will be as good as the new DLC stuff.

    They'll be level 50, but the drops will still be CP XXX and that will be the new equivalent of VR1-16 and beyond. As it stands nothing about the current loot system will change when we switch to CP's from VR's. The only difference will be our alts can equip everything the main character has as soon as it hits 50 since CP's are account wide.

    Hopefully they change their minds and as far as stats go all level 50 things will be the same, with CP's only granting access to a wider variety. I highly doubt that will be the case though as there is no room for a power creep except with new awesome sets. If Wrothgar's sets are any indication of their ability to make new awesome sets... well... I'm scared.

    And everything we discuss is speculative... and most of it piddly water under the bridge once the big change has been done...

    But would it not be great to have Akatosh's Blessed Armor back.... and so many other surprising sets. Cutting down the sooooo predictable cookie cutter builds we have now.

    Would be nice if the full variety of all old dropped sets would forever be in the available pool at a distance of 300 CP or so from the new DLC sets.

    Just make veteran difficulty trials. They scale to our level only weekly drop v16
