Vet Maelstrom Arena makes me want to give up eso!

Spent many hours in vMA. I am a pretty good player, in capped gear. Have a few hours a night to play.

It just isn't fun! I'm not going to spend a few hours a night doing something that isn't fun! Gotten to stage 7 boss, and it was bugged and shield's weren't working. Ugh. Why can't we just save progress?

Seeing more and more legendary weps in pvp, and just wondering if this game is still for me. I can still kill the no-lifers occasionally, but it seems like that will be dwindling soon.

Frustrated.

After completing this on normal i was more than bored and done with it. No way in hell i'll have the time to sit through this in vet mode...and i'm a sorc...

Vet mode is ridiculously hard, long, and expensive. I know many players who have quit over it. If you don't have 12 hours and 1 million gold to blow, don't try it.

I felt the same way. I was so frustrated at the last boss and was just about to give up but then I tried once more and somehow killed him. Not sure if I will enter the vMA again. xD

I go back to IC, Ive no interest to read path notes and see what skills/gears are good atm and what are not. This is not my idea of fun, but ganking is.

I didnt even try. I didnt even set a foot in Arena, fortunately the weapons rewards are crap. Thanks for that ...

Im on console (270 CP magsorc) and can get to round 6 in under 10 lives with no sigils. But.. once I'm there I wonder why I'm doing this and decide it's not worth another 3 hours, that's not healthy both physically and psychologically. There's zero reason to not make a save function, 0. Those who can do it quickly or in one sitting still can and those who don't want to or can't do one sitting can save for another time. That's fun, that's rewarding for EVERYONE.

ZOS why are your game devs so consistently screwing up? I believe they should be replaced if this game is to survive.

If they could fix the buggy stranglers in stage 3 and in stage 7: the poison of the flower applies too fast, you see the red telegraph and you dodge it...but you already have it...no way to avoid the poison and it ticks too hard...come on, 26k in 2 sec - what's the point of this but random insta kill mechanism?

Wait, Vet Maelstrom Arena doesn't save after every stage?? Screw that. And I thought normal Maelstrom was hard enough. I'm still on the poison stage until they fix nix hound trophy drops (Multifaceted Eye).

The difference with that is that it's actuall MMO content which you do with your friends to socialize rather than this single player *** that they resorted to to cater the needs for the skyrim fanboys.

Maybe you should read it differently like "I have two kids and a real job which matters way more than this *** game"

I play casually, and as I often babysit while playing ESO I'm pretty much confined to playing solo as my services might be needed elsewhere at any time. This means that many, many aspects and drops are off limits to me. I will never get monster-stuff, Arena-stuff, or anything that drops in a dungeon. I can only get whatever I can scrape enough gold to by on the guild stores and whatever drops from normal mobs or in PvP.

That's not the game's fault though. I chose to have other obligations that have an effect on my playstyle, and while I would like all that bloodspawn kena master sword nonsense it's not the game's fault that I'll never get it.

I just dont want to play with the "optimal" build thats all or read some patch notes before I go sleep. I like to do what I feel like, take weapon I like to use, take skills what I like to use. Thats why I bought ESO in first place, I like theres lots of skills, universal skills and different weapons. If people want to grind 3 hour same arena to get master weapons thats fine by me.

even though i'm lucky enough to have the time to try to complete vMA, and was really looking forward to the concept of a solo arena... i completed easy mode then got to round 4 or so on vet and left after only like a dozen deaths total, haven't been back in weeks, just got bored and still don't care to practice it to perfection amidst the weak loot and random insta-kills... more fun to kill "stormproof" players in pvp with an argonian stamplar, or sandbox around IC sewers with different builds and abilities collecting loot i can actually use/sell

i'll give it another shot after i finish leveling my bb sorc but ultimately just WTB properly scaled vDSA

I didnt say YOU need to stop insulting,.I said "people need to stop insulting". .Its just that you said people who play a lot of hours were non lifers or people with jobs,and a lot of people say this. I see, so when you have two kids and a real job, hardcore content that allows you to get carried is okay, but when you have to do the same alone it's suddenly a problem.

I am getting frustrated in vMA also. Got to the 5th arena but not even to the boss round. The round where you have 1 and then 2 atronachs coming was where I stoped... and I stoped to play ESO for few days pretty much. That is how annoyed I was. I dont want nerf either, I just want possibility to save. I just cant run so many hours in a row. Its just not possible. I started arena at 6 in the evening and ended at 4 in the morning. Why? Because my game became completely laggy and I had to restart in 4th arena and redo it. That is just stupid. There needs to be a save option.
