i looked into the newest Eso Live, in the Hope to catch some Infos about the Racechange. I dont found anything new about it, maybe i missed some new Infos. I waited a Long Time for this Feature, like many other Players and some Infos would be really nice.
So, is the Racechange coming soon, maybe this Year?

Play some more. Pay attention to some quests. Why race change? Sounds to me lore breaking and out of place even in a world where magic is common.

The Dunmer in Greenshade you bring alchemy ingredients so he can finish a potion that is supposed to turn him into a Khajiit, but turns him Argonian instead because he didn't get the mix right?
Bing - race change.
The quest to recover the emerald chalice in Rivenspire that turns everyone who drinks from it into a Goblin?
Bing - race change.
The alchemist in Sentinel who sells potions that can turn an Orc into a monkey or Redguards into rats and dogs?
Bing - race change. (okay, not the kind we are talking about here but... still...)
Point being, it -IS- in the lore.
One could even add Orsimer and Dunmer, who once were different yet got their race changed by daedric intervention...
So the lore is no hindrance.
The main question is, will the powers that be add it to the character recustomization options or not.
Since they like making profit, and there are people who'd pay good crowns for it... economical logic would indicate they will, sooner or later.

No it wouldn'tladyonthemoon wrote: »Changing race in the middle of a play through would make a mess of your character, stats wise.
Then Zenimax should have offered a Race change when they originally implemented Stamina morphs, because I'm not going to reroll my main with all his achievements, nirnhoned researched and motifs known after zenimax pulled the rug out from under him 6 *** months after I made him.Arthur_Spoonfondle wrote: »Character choices should be meaningful, not a throwaway choice that can be changed at whim, whether or not for a fee.

Now... the price, that is something that can be arguend about. Personally I would hope they do not make it too cheap... 5000 crowns like one of the rare styles would seem in line with the rest of the crown store. (and I know well enough that if they did it at that price, a lot of FotM chasers would whine about it being too expensive...) Maybe less if they are feeling generous, but hopefully not too much less...Justice31st wrote: »I hope ZOS charges atleast 5,000 crowns per race change. I hate to trell you this... but that is "making an alt" not "race change", and noone would pay that much crowns for making an alt10,000 crowns, all achievements, quests, skillpoints and CP wiped, and you start at level 1 in the Coldharbour prison. Pretty much the only way to do it without messing things up.

And we know a lot of people are screaming for race change to get that last percentage point of super-effectiveness for their character.

Being able to wipe your character's brain and muscle memory of all the skills and talents and then learn new ones within mere minutes doesnt sound lore breaking? Please. If you can one I dont see much problems with having the other.
I would however prefer them making some sort of quest based way of changing your racials. Like embarking on a journey to a Khajit monastery where you do some dailies for a week or three as part of your training. Afterwards youd be rewarded with unlocking one or all kitty passives.

I still think race change is a bit out of places.
But then again I probably would pay 5000 crown to have my class changed, I feel like being a Templar will be more fun than being NB....
And last time I check on Eso lore, there are generally no class, except if you are dragonborn... Then you are a class on your own...

Yeah, those of us who started before TES:Skyrim, like, say... with TES:Daggerfall, and then played all the ones in between know better.
