So how are you handling this population drop?

As the title describes.

With the release of so many top tier games as of late i've observed a sever drop in overall game population, even my trade guilds have gone quiet.

How are you handling it? and what are you doing to keep interested?

    Haven't noticed it myself
The zones I'm in seem as overcrowded as ever, trade guilds seem much the same
As a mainly solo PvE player what I'm doing is much the same as before

Still apart from Fallout4 I'm unaware of any top tier game releases that might distract people from ESO (although that might be a product of my bias (if it aint rpg and it aint strategy I don't care}).

This is only a sample of the population (Not everyone goes through Steam to play ESO)
That being said, there is a distinct pattern of less and less people playing as of late.

I could see PC vs Console having different #'s definitely. Also I could see DLC impacting it as well. I personally haven't seen a player "drop", but I've been playing in the low level areas, and haven't touched Orsinium yet (well, i got up to the main town, then decided to hold off for my new alt to play it).

And I'm still running into players playing in my areas, still get random group requests for tough quests, etc. hasn't changed much for me. Now, I could see Orsinium having less players, but thats mostly due to them actually playing through it, and either going to work on alts, or possibly leaving for other games. But It's most likely a combination of both.

If someone plays PvP and notices the population drop there are a few thing you can do to keep you interested.

    1. If nobody is fighting in your alliance and your are having a hard time finding a fight, you can go out and get more CP, more gold for supplies, update your armor/weapons, or get some more potions/food

    2. Change alliances, maybe create a new character and play in a different campaign that is active.

I always find something to do; I also watch vids while I am playing so i'm always entertained.

As for OP, meh. Doesn't bother me any. I play the same with or without tons of people. Its to be expected this time of year, when most of the 'big hits' release. Now, as long as all those people come back, I hope they are havin a blast! We do want the game to thrive and gotta have people for that!

This is only a sample of the population (Not everyone goes through Steam to play ESO)
That being said, there is a distinct pattern of less and less people playing as of late.

Just thought I'd point out, as a Steam user, I no longer us the Steam overlay to launch ESO. I use the ESO launcher, so Steam doesn't even recognize that I'm playing anymore.

Also there are many people who can't launch ESO though Steam because, even though they bought it through the Steam store, it does not run via the Steam overlay or is very buggy. One of the most widely suggested solutions is to just not use Steam to launch the game as Steam Support is useless and ESO support directs you to Steam support when they can't figure out a different solution.

Just thought that was important to mention when talking numbers of players still playing.

    ***EDIT***
Should Also mention that the Steam Fall Sale should be starting next week. Those numbers will be even more skewed due to the sudden increase in new players that will eventually demand a refund from Steam due to its buggy overlay and/or not getting a Steam Key because Steam, apparently, doesn't plan for these situations for some reason!

    ***2nd EDIT***
    Also, there's this SALE!!!

Anybody looking to buy a second copy for alts?

Starcraft2 and FO4 for me. It's not that I see a pop drops it's more like I should freaking close the lights already because everybody has already left some time ago.

I think Assassins Creed number who the hell even keeps track anymore is also out.I expect it to be very popular on the consoles.

Problem is they are single player games, people that enjoy mmo's play them because they enjoy playing with friends. Even with all the recent releases ps4 eu is still full of players, newbie areas are busy, as is cadwells and IC and orsinium.

Assassin's creed has become the worst line of games ever.

The plot: you are a video game tester, test assassin's creed...

All the players that left for FO4 have come back. Just like I thought, they play for a while then join eso. Since FO4 is single player you can always take a break.

Since Orsinium ive seen a spike in activity. Not since launch have the number of my xbox friends list been as high.

I bought assassins creed and fallout 4, I've done 80% of everything to do in fallout, as with any single player game it gets boring running around by yourself, and once you've done the story and most of the content, there's not much left. Brilliant game mind and I'll pick it up when dlc drops for it with more mods. (Got the deathclaw one on my pc)

I enjoyed assassins creed, but I constantly trying to make sure I don't play it more than the odd hour here and there, cause once it's over its over

There is obviously a population drop but those games don't last very long anyway, I played fallout for a week finished it, then came back to play ESO.
We are however in desperate need for new Group Play. I'm sure ZOS knows this that it's an MMO and the Solo Arena doesn't appeal to many

Orsinium may be a bit low population wise because many players, myself included, are waiting until we reach a higher level to go there. There is tons of content already for lower level players, there is no real reason to jump to Orsinium when you haven't even completed much of the games original content... but that's just how I play... I save DLCs for after I complete the existing content. B)
