All dungeons are VR 16 while I am VR3?

After the update all monsters in the dungeons are set to VR 16. No matter if I am the group leader or anyone else, even without even having a VR 16 in the group. Even if the dungeon is set to normal. Why is this happening? Makes it impossible to finish any dungeon at all

    Its happening because you are using the group finder. Group finder created groups scale all their low lvl members to vr15 and the dungeon is set to vr16 mobs. It works like in cyrodiil. Everyone gets gear of his lvl (its very nice) and the group recives a minor buf to dmg and healing. You should see when you are inside the dungeon you have more hp and weapon/spell dmg. Any group built this way should be able to finish the dungeon unles players are very experienced or have really bad builds.

    Said that, now batlescaling accounts on your stats, so if you have very low hp, you will have low hp. Get some decent gear, like 5 set pieces + 3-4 set pieces, get food of your lvl and you will be like any average vr15 while inside the dungeon. I Did a vr16 scaled dungeon with my lvl 15 (non veteran) stamina orc sorcerer pulling 9k dps (not bad for not having almost any passive).

    Everyone's base stats get upscaled to VR16 as I understand it. A level 20 would be scaled up base states to VR16 and you can group with them....but they'll be lacking skills.

    I'm guessing this was to fix the issue of having people wait in ques for groups for a long time. I am getting groups much quicker, but the dungeons are a beast now. I've only been able to complete one daily dungeon since the update. Before I could breeze through them. Now it's a LOT of coordination just getting through the first boss and people often start complaining and dropping because the easy button is broke now.

    hm wierd. we get one shot by bosses and stuff. but I'll try a couple more and look for the stuff you said. Thank you

    it makes it easier to find a group in group finder... you shouldn't have any problems beating the dungeon. Everyone is scaled to the same level and is given a buff. as long as people know the mechanics, it should be easy.... that said, not all vet versions will be simple. if you were trying vCOA or vDarkshade.... a pug group will still struggle.

    EDIT: Worth noting that the buff you get IS gear dependent.... if you are wearing junky white/green gear only... you won't get a good battle level buff. So if you can, make some crafted set gear or at least try to use blue/purple drops you get while questing.

    I wouldn't say it was easy. We did Ax Corsinium via group finder last night. Tank was level 36, Healer VR4 and two randoms of level 39 and VR 5. We did clear the dungeon, but had some deaths and it was certainly a challenge

    Same here. I was literally falling asleep spamming dungeon runs....they were so boring and there was very little talking. The increased challenge forces people to talk, coordinate and actually act like a group. The runs actually keep me on my toes and wide awake now....even if we only get through 3/4 bosses, the drops seem to be a little nicer and I'm having more fun.

    my guess is the lower levels didn't have great gear (no sets crafted) and they didn't get a good buff?... personally i didn't make any crafted sets until vet 1. I don't blame them... but that's the kind of stuff you will run into with this method i think. Did you at least get a group really quickly?
    The best thing about this (for me anyway) is that i usually play with 1 RL friend. between the two of us, we have a healer and/or a tank in the group and one of us uses a dps. We cover the major bases that way and the group finder can quickly fill the empty spots. Those spots don't need to be filled with the perfect player... just someone who can do some damage.

    Yeah battle scaling works well now, but like you said, you can run into problems when you haven't acquired all of the skills yet.

    Crypt of hearts yesterday was very hard with group finder. Most people hadn't even done it before. Tying to explain the mech with Mezlueth was pretty tiresome. Left on nerenith with one group. Just didn't get anything that was going on.
