Edit: Updated for clarity. These are not how I pronounce them. This is some of the stuff I hear on a daily basis from other players.
  1. Aldmeri (Al-duh-meer-ree) (Al-deh-meer-ree)
  2. Veteran (Vetran)
  3. Writs (Rites)
  4. Atronach (Ah-tro-knock)
  5. Valkyn Skoria (Val-kine Scar-ria)
  6. Xivkyn (Zive-kin)
  7. Selene's Web (Selena's Web)
  8. Nerien'eth (Nerra-nye-yeth)
  9. Deshaan (Deh-shan)
  10. Auridon (Air-rih-dawn)
  11. Khajiit (Kye-zjeet)
  12. Legerdemain (Leh-jer-deh-maine)

    Kammakazi =/= Kamikaze

    Selene and Selena are two different names.

    Khajiit has been pronounced numerous times in numerous ways in the Elder Scrolls games, with Kah-Jeet being the most prominent.

    Veteran can be either 'Vet-ruhn' or 'Vet-er-uhn', depending on a wonderful little thing called dialect, of which there are more than one in any given language.

    I don't think the OP is referring to anyone who honestly doesn't know how to pronounce a word based on their native language or ethnicity. It's just poking fun at those who butcher the words for one reason or another. It's funny and annoying all at the same time. Also, many of these words are not English and only exist in Tamriel anyway.

    How do you know the difference? There is no way you can determine why someone is mispronouncing something unless they speak up which they most likely wont do until AFTER they have been made fun of.
    That being said, I personally dont find the OP all that insulting. /shrug

    Add to this the guy I played with who called them wayshires, and another who fought with me that Woodhearth was pronounced Wooden-earth.

    Leh jer deh maine is correct since the word is of French origin

    Add Dwemer to the list of mispronounced words. And this particular mispronunciation comes from ZOS themselves. Every character in the Elder Scrolls games where voice-overs were done has pronounced Dwemer with a soft E similar to how you'd say "wed". Some notable ZOS employees pronounce it with a longer E sound, making it sound like Dweemer.

    It's really common where I'm from for the word Veteran to be pronounced "Vet-ran" in a way that almost makes it sound like "Vet-rin" O__o;;;

      How is that supposed to be pronounced now? Except for the fact that I pronounce it as atro-nack instead of knock (american vs british accent) it seems correct to me.
