That comment reflects the sentiments of over 600 highly active DC pvpers. Which is probably the majority of your remaining daily player base in DC.

I'm sure some disagree, but the statement above is fact.

It creates a toxic environment in zone because, obviously, those players are trolled when they come in. And so their friends who maybe don't cross-faction in the same campaign feel the need to defend......And then all hell brakes lose.

Give them a chance to choose each month at the start of the campaign, or something. But seeing XYZ as blue one night, and then in the same campaign seeing them on red during the same 24-hour span is just....stupid.

Faction lock is dumb. Let people play with their friends. Your stupid beef with people from other factions is just that, stupid. It's a game. It's meant to be fun. Not being able to play with your friends is not fun. That's why they started fixing diverging quest lines, so you wouldn't be forced out of grouping with your friends if you hit the wrong option.

I agree. Let those friends play together...IN PVE DUNGEON CRAWLS!!!

So no, you pick a faction you stay with it. You wanna play with your friends? Then roll a toon to play with them. If they aren't willing to help you level, then maybe they aren't as much a friend as you thought. It's all good in PvE, but PvP needs boundries. There's already enough spying and crap going on. Troll scroll carriers etc. No, just no on multi-faction on the same campaign. It's already happening anyway when people buy a second account. Of course ZoS don't mind that, cause it's just money to them. They could care less about the integrity of the game, community or players involved.

Spying is actually a thing still?

Back on track, PLEASE calculate fall damage based on Z axis changes and not time spent in the air. I can accept deaths to obscene numbers, I can accept deaths to lag, I cannot accept deaths because people have realized you can stand on the stairs in the inner keep and meteor bomb people as they are literally forced up stairs to engage and therefore get oneshot by fall damage. It's not a cc issue, it's the leash that meteor does to your player model when the damage is calculated (if you don't believe me, you're welcome to pop an immovable potion before the deadly push to stairs).

Players are abusing this more and more, and it shouldn't come as a shock given that we had this same issue multiple times in different iterations for previous patches. I'm at a point where I'd like to see you just take out meteor altogether - between lag issues from its calculations and the fall damage no single skill has caused as much grief in PVP as meteor has.

There's literally no way to counter it. Immovable doesn't work, reflect is completely unreliable, and it's an instant oneshot. Do something about it please.

At the risk of being foolish... are the keep upgrades even working? Specifically the wall and door upgrades? I thought the walls were supposed to upgrade and heal themselves up to 100. Most, if not all keeps, IF they even do this, must take 2 hours or more to bring the walls back to 100%, because I am constantly seeing walls, after the upgrades, sitting at 82% around the entire keep. In another game, where I was constantly repairing walls, (just like I pretty much spend 80% of my AP doing here), I could actually see a wall go up from 82% to 83% while I was repairing the wall next to it. Here.. I can do an entire keep with all the walls at 82%, repair each up to 90, then go around again and start at 90 to 91. Is it that slow, does the timer reset when a player repairs, (which would be pretty stupid, sorry), or is it broken?
@Darlgon It was working the last time I checked (which was a while ago), but with Azurah, it's really easy to see whether it's working or not, so I can check again. The values are really small though, when you consider each use of a Masonry Repair Kit restores 2,500 HP; at Level 2, wall regeneration is 10 HP every 20 seconds, up to 15 HP every 20 seconds at Level 4.

I think the resource upgrades need to be more efficient. Maybe base values should be lower, and each separate upgrade should be worth more, so that it's more obvious that they provide a tangible bonus.

    Soo.. using those numbers..and,
using my 2.5k repair kits making up 1% of a wall..
makes an entire wall 250k hp?

    10 hp / 20 sec
    30 hp / min

    2500 hp / (30 hp/min)
    83.3 min

so a wall regens the equivalent of ONE repair kit in OVER AN HOUR?
That.. might as well not be happening.

To regen the 82% up to 100 before the next wall upgrade would take...
    18 x 83.3 min = 1500 min or 25 HOURS?

    REALLY?

Come on... think seriously for a second! The devs of this game have been spouting their **** for over a year now. How long does it take for it to set in that it's either going to take another year or two (soon ^tm) for any changes to actually occur? By then it's going to be empty (and therefor no change needed), or other games will have come along (let's be honest the MMO market has been pretty dead of late, letting ESO get away with this).
It just doesn't cut it, they took too long and made too many mistakes.
If you need more convincing here's an example; how long ago did forward camps get taken out of the game? And that's still on the table of fixes? Get outta here! I get the feeling they (the majority of fixes) won't happen for a long time yet.
I feel bad for the devs, I suspect it's the people holding the cash flow that's got them by the balls and forcing new content through before the initial game is fixed.

I didn't call him stupid necessarily, just the idea of faction lock and his paranoia over a video game. However, I'm not going to try and be super diplomatic so I can argue over 10 pages for something like this. I don't have time for that. This is a simple concept... games should be fun.

Yes, it definitely takes too long. Walls have base HP of 200,000, up to 225,000 at Level 1, 250,000 at Level 3, and 275,000 at Level 5. Corner build-outs start at 175,000 when they are unlocked at Level 2, up to 200,000 at Level 3 and 225,000 at Level 5. Postern Houses start at 185,000 when they unlock at Level 3, up to 210,000 at Level 5.

Doors have base HP of 150,000, which goes up to 165,000 at Level 1, 180,000 at Level 3, and 195,000 at Level 5. Door regen is the same as wall regen, with 10 HP every 20 seconds at Level 2, up to 15 HP every 20 seconds at Level 4. At Wood Level 5, both walls and doors regenerate HP faster, but I haven't managed to be in the right place see how much "faster" that actually is.

I agree 110% 1 faction 1 campaign, I do not care for faction hoppers in the same campaign, think it undermines the spirit of three faction warfare, I really wish ZOS had followed the DAOC model a little closer when it comes to how campaigns work.

I am looking forward to some of the upcoming changes to Cyodiil, with more options and places to fight.
