DK Flame lash 「Stamina」

I'm just throwing thread out there as many of my fellow DKs want this since they're a Stam DK too.
I really cannot stress how awesome it would be for a morph version of flame lash for both Stam/Magicka (that way both types of DKs would be satisfied).

ZoS get rid of molten whip as its morph is completely lack luster in comparison to flame lash.

Magicka could do what it does now while stamina has it scale off weapon damage plus giving the heal if set off balanced and while set off balance it could reduce targets armor by 1-2k (to provide a clear distinction between the two) Stam version wouldn't get its flame damage though.

Thoughts my fellow DKs? We all know other classes don't want this because it'll be the bane of their existence;)

I would really really love to have a stamina whip, it would make stamina DKs also more viable in PvE. And use more fire which a DK is all about.

But both morphs are pretty popular for magicka builds, flame lash for pvp and molten whip for pve. So it's going to affect certain people and I'm not sure if they'll do that. Despite this, I'd rather still see it happening that we get one or another stamina whip.

So I really am up for it, but can't blame if they don't.

Molten Lash is highly valued in PVE by Magicka DK's. While I agree that Stamina DK could use a Stam whip it's a hard sell to force Magicka DK to lose Molten Whip for PVE.

Best suggestion I'd say is to add Molten Whip's current bonus to a passive in Ardent Flame, both Stamina and Magicka could benefit from it. Then convert Molten Whip to a Stamina version.

Hell yeah I want a stam whip, and that's coming from someone with both a stam and magicka DK. I wouldn't like to take the existing flame lash from magicka however. If it's going to be done (which I sure hope it does), it needs to be done carefully.

It would just be nice to have some kind of damage skill that is unique to DK.

wrecking blow is nice and all.... but everyone can use the weapon skills. Noone wants to play a character that has no unique abilities.

I don't care if its a stamina whip... dk just needs something unique to the class.

Perhaps add it to the now nerfed Burning passive?

I would prefer stonefist to be buffed a little and given a stamina morph as its physical damage already and would work nicely with the helping hands passive

Thinking about it, wouldn't it just be easier if the whip was based off whatever your highest attribute is? That way we're not taking away anything from the Magicka DK, and both specs can benefit from both morphs.

I had the pleasure of doing a duel against a recently converted stamina dk (karisha)
I was on my new magica dk

i noticed that he was able to use caltrops, shuffle, rapid to control the battefield with his mobility
fossilize is also a stam skill that a magica dk can only use once before stamina resources become a problem

He killed me twice with meteor, i guess a dk reflects a reflected meteor back np.

The only thing i could do nicely: spam talons, searing strike and whip

so if he had a stamina whip he would not have needed meteor at all to kill me

I forgot to mention that when he runs in his 60 man zerg (24 plus the rest) he can spam steel tornado all day long, i dont think he complains about missing a whip

TLDR: Stam dk is fine, buff magica DK

No one is disputing that mag dk needs a buff. Just because someone played better than you doesn't mean that class doesn't need a stam whip. I don't mean to sound rude, just putting it out there.

But... of the skills you mention:

Caltrops - not DK
Shuffle - not DK
Rapid - not DK

Meteor - not DK
Reflect - DK, but magica

Talons - DK magica
Searing - DK (has a stam morph)
Whip - DK magica

Fossilize - DK stam.

Steel tornado - not DK

The point that Stam DKs are trying to make is that everyone gives examples of how they should play and then gives a list of skills that aren't Stam DK skills! They are skills available to anyone!

This doesn't mean that the skills available to a Stam DK are no good, just that they aren't exclusive to DKs. Which kind of loses the DK identity...

If we wont get a stamwhip make the other morph of wrecking blow instant and let it deal 50% less dmg.
Sorcs and dks will maybe like it.
