This is part of why I am always against displaying CPs. Despite how they really function, people will use it as a measuring stick where only a high number matters even though a person with comparatively lower amount of CPs may have spent them in better locations.NewBlacksmurf wrote: »Considering how CP's work I think this idea would cause confusion.
The amount someone has doesn't matter.
The amount in specific passives does but it's too many variables to create a visual display for PvP
Actually a very good point, someone could have 300 cp but have chosen poor skills, that rarely benefit their build, where as someone with 200 could be very wise and gotten far more out of the system.

Not a fan of it, a vr16 with 500 cp with blue gear is far less deadly than vr16 in gold gear with 300 cp, so it is going to account for gear quality too?
Plus imagine all the excuses it would create
" I did lose 30 times in a row to 20 different people 1v1 but it's not because of my lack of skill, it's because he had 400 cp and I had 300"
No thanks

Honestly I feel like this attitude is what makes this game's PvP poor. If you want to share builds/ideas do so (I respect those who do because essentially they help make the game more fun for others). If you don't want to share there's no need to make snooty-sounding statements suggesting you are somehow above the folks who are interested. Anyone who says stuff like "scrubs who copy builds, etc." brings the game down.

Wow with the issues - I said none of the things you mention and yet you seem to have put a lot of your issues in my mouth.
My personal thing is the opposite, I'd hate to see the self-appointed elite blocking content because someone does not have their official build of the month.

I'm also in favor having raid, group, and target frames with options to show how much magicka and stamina you have, your current buffs, what ability you're casting, etc.
All of this... even on enemy players.
Having all this information out there in the open is the best way to ensure the exploiting and bugs do not go unnoticed. Sunshine is the best disinfectant.

more like Q_Q every 5 secs, turn the forms into a toxic mix of hate and distrust, and nerf wars...
no thank you!
If u want to know my gear, stats, ask me. If I trust you, then I will share... if you a jerk, i reserve the right to withhold any and all info as I see fit.
