House of Orsimer Glories Reward - Supposed to be a Bear Mount

Mounts as quest rewards are the stuff of subscription-based games -- in other words, what ESO was when they wrote the story for the quest (yes, Orsinium has been around that long).

It would have been great to see it as a reward, but I can understand why it is no longer one (even if I don't like it). It's just funny to see so plainly how they re-geared content they had already developed (thus delaying content, why there was such a big drought) to fit the game's new economic model.

Actually I can name a few btp or ftp games that have cash shops AND allow you to obtain mounts or vehicles in game. So your statement is incorrect. They offer them as quest rewards or by completing certain acheiements or tasks.

You're right, they can exist, but in ESO's case it is clear why they don't make most mounts obtainable outside of cash shop.

I did receive the Senche Tiger, but I hardly think it's relevant. My point (and that of the original thread) is that the Crown Store should not be the only way to obtain new mounts. I'm all for additional versions and colors bought exclusively with crowns, however there should be ways to earn extraordinary mounts in game.

    Yes! This!

I would like to see more mounts both in-and out of game. I also think that the guar mount should be purchase-able in game (but only in Morrowind). And so on.
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.

Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

It has nothing to do with money, they just started to make Orsinium before Crown Store. Stuff like Orsinium doesnt happen in 1 day or even week, they have probably worked on it 1 year easily.

In July it was still supposed to be a reward.

    http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/comment/2008308/#Comment_2008308

Since that time the decision was made to replace it with costumes and put it in the store.

Its really so big deal? Theres so many mounts Im sure no-one is gonna even use new mount, at least Im not gonna use it.

It is a big deal. You purchased a dlc, you paid money for it. or you subscribed. If they are using this bear mount in their orsinium ads, then they should make it a quest reward and include that within the game. I'm not even sure what they do is legal worldwide. You don't see "a gamer sued x company" type news on tv often. But it's slowly getting there.

But anyway, it's a part of that game's environment, lore... they are just doing it wrong. Like bmw selling cars and tires seperately.

they should sell bears with glowing eyes and undead skins in the store. What a shame.

crash of '83. remember that. game dev. companies are digging industry's grave. history can repeat itself if these new indie devs become successful. Especially No Man's Sky. No DLCs no cash store bs. Done by 30 people.

Selling a bear mount in the store and no other way to get it? Keep digging you fools...
