A Glimmer Of Hope For The Game

    • ZOS has their own design paradigm and they want the game to be more accessible to zergs and bads.
    • ZOS listens to its customers and the loudest voices on the forums are zergs and bads.

    Either way, its clear to see how we got to where we are now with these choices.

    We didn't have ground oils in 1.5 anymore. And frankly, I hated those anyway. Being outnumbered, you couldn't cover all the ground in oils and protect them from the zerg, and once they could place their own, they would do so. At the same time, they weren't as effective with multiple people spamming Purge, obviously, and they forced you into range of pbaoe. In the end it's funny how a lot of people later said high damage siege weapons would favor the zerg, yet this weapon did so far more.

    We only had stacking meatbags in 1.5, wich also meant fire ballistas were good when you already had a meatbag.

    Negate was powerful, and I agree it worked just fine, in fact I didn't even say it should have been changed at all. You say people should learn to move out then, and I completely agree. But what should have happened instead is to remove AoE caps and change the ultimate generation system.
    For this change it would be important to have healing only generate ultimate when the target was full health, as a Sorcerer could otherwise charge his Absorption Field rediculously fast. Other thought on the ult regen system would exceed what I intended for this post though. It's late.

    People still die in Negates. What is silly is that you can't even see them half the time now.
