Why are /BUG Reports going to Customer Service?

On November 6th, I sent in a bug report with the /bug function in the game. I received a response a couple days later, which I immediately thought was strange as I have never received a response for a Bug Report. The initial contact stated this was going to be sent up to the right people to look at it. I assumed whomever had it would be sending it and the information from the file up to the Devs or whatever team they have that looks at the Bug Reports.

A couple days after that I get an email from Customer Service stating there is nothing they can do because they don't handle Technical Issues.

Well No ***** Sherlock!! I didn't sent in a /Help request for Customer Support, I sent in a Bug Report detailing all the issues I had come across with my character with the resource issues and certain abilities costing more and stats not functioning correctly.
Of course, Customer Service can't help with that!

So no wonder the Devs aren't getting all the information and issues players are reporting in the game if the Bug Reports that are being sent in are going to the wrong place and they are assuming the wrong things are the cause of the issues.

This really needs to be looked into as to why our Bug Reports are going to Customer Service now. The possibility of issues like this coming up is the exact reason I take lots of screenshots of things I do in the game. But it's also no wonder you guys are having issues trying to find out what is causing these game mechanic problems.

    I believe bug reports always get routed through the Support team before they end up at the devs, since /bug, /feedback and /help all use the same ticket number incrementation. I guess whoever was on Support that day didn't notice it was a bug report.

    Yea I had the same with reporting a specific ore node in Alik'r that you couldn't interact with. Customer support very sympathatically and dutifully came up with work-arounds like log out and back in.

    Thing is, I'm allready aware of those work-arounds and they didn't work for this particular node. But what's more important is that Customer Support instantly thought I needed help, while all I was trying to do was reporting a bug.

    Seems like a waste of customer support's time.

    Ok.. This is the third time this has happened... I am putting in a BUG report in game and for some reason it is going to Customer Service who is then coming back to me asking me to put in a Bug report.

    This really needs to be looked into and a hotfix made because it means our Bug reports to fix issues with the game are not going to the right place.

    Here is proof that I submitted this as a /bug report.

    Here is the reason why I sent it.. the tool top showing Refreshing Path is suppose to last 11.5 seconds, but it is lasting only about 5 seconds.

The fastest way to report a bug is to type “/bug” in the chat window while in game. Make sure to select the proper category and subcategory and give as much detail as possible about the issue. Check the Include Screenshot? box to include a screenshot of the issue. Please be sure to press the Print Screen key on the keyboard before typing "/bug" to make sure the correct screenshot is included in the bug report. Once all the fields are filled out properly, click Submit.

    Oh buggar! The bugs are bugged.

    This issue definitely need attention. Are you able to reply to Christie and ask her to please forward this up the chain, since you cant?

    I did send an email back and also attached the two photos that I attached here to show proof that not only was I making a bug report, but the tooltip is showing 11.5 seconds. And I did ask her to forward it to the Devs and that she might want to speak to her supervisor and let them know that Bug Reports are coming to them when they shouldn't so they can get the issue sent to the right people and fixed asap.

    Support has started to send mails from /bug lately to me too. At least half dozen emails.

    EDIT: I was also baffled about this answer from support:
    My name is Genaro and I am with the Elder Scrolls Online support team. I would like to thank you for reporting this Orc and his unorthodox methods of leaning against walls. This does seem a bit odd. After some review, I would like to kindly request that the next time you see this Orc, if he is still doing this, please use the /bug command so that we can be sure that this gets looked into.
    But it's now clear, support don't know what's happening with /bug.

    Like hello CS... I am telling you I did /BUG in game and it is sending everything to CS and not to the devs. I asked to be in contact with a supervisor now because this is a huge issue if our reports are not getting to the right people. Especially since they are suppose to contain the information regarding the bug. It's not wonder the DEVS are not able to fix or pin down the issues they are having if CS is intercepting their BUG reports.

    Now they broke the bug reports? Probably on purpose no doubt, devs want to go on a luxury cruise or more likely, there are no devs left to report to.
