Which Mundus Stone do you use for your main character at Veteran level?
I am curious which Mundus Stones are not or hardly used nearing endgame.
Could perhaps lead to a discussion/suggestions which Mundus Stones could be wrapped up together (like has been done with The Steed), freeing up space for a new one.

Because the max choices of a poll are restricted to 10, I put a couple of Mundus Stones together.

    Heh, I use a bunch of alts and no real "main" character, so... Depends on what class, build (stam / mag), role (burst or sustained), current gear...

    What Mundus (Mundii?) I would never consider (except perhaps for a troll build):
    - Steed
    - Lord
    - Lady
    - Lover
    - Ritual

    Currently:
    - Stam DK burst oriented: Warrior
    - Stam DK sustain oriented: Serpent (would consider Tower)
    - Stam NB 1 burst oriented: Warrior (would consider Serpent)
    - Stam NB 2 burst oriented: Serpent
    - Magicka Sorc burst oriented: Atronach (would consider Mage)
    - Magicka Templar sustain oriented: Atronach
    - Magicka DK afk oriented: Atronach
    - Magicka NB sustain oriented: Atronach

    If my sustain permits it, I use food instead of drinks, and use a sustain-oriented mundus for balance. For instance, the stam DK (SnB / DW) I'm currently running is using Food for pretty huge damage increase and almost 7k extra HP, with a Serpent Mundus for about 1800 stam recovery (battle leveled - Cyrodiil).

    EDIT: All those are for Cyrodiil, and I'm usually not running 50+ crit chance, so... Shadow is usually out, plus crits don't work on shields.

    I think you should have coupled similar Mundus effects together in 1 poll option to make room for all of them. That being said I run a different Mundus on all my alts that matches their build style.

    Does the Thief affect also spell critical chance? I've been using the Mage from the beginning but now the Thief seems to be the best choice for DPS magicka sorcerer.

    I understand it as general crit chance, both weapon and spells.

    I played Elderscrolls since morrowind, because of that my mundus stone is always steed. I am just lucky it's a useful stone for my character.

    If you need more sustain as a PvE (group content) player you pick 1, 2 or even 3 cost reduction glyphs on your jewellery. You will never drop Thief / Shadow. They are WAY too good to drop them for anything.

    the (imo) "correct" answer: every build / occasion is different and your munuds should be changed regularly.

    Good rule of thumb:
    Resource hungry build (dk tank spamming shield for stamina, BoL healer in PvP, stam class in pvp?)? sperpent or atronarch
    not resource hungry? shadow if decent cs and non-templar or bewteen 90 and 400CP, thief if templar and enough CP for enough elfborn.
    apprentice/warrior/mage can make sense in pvp if you have crazy regen already (which few players have), because you cannot crit enemy damage shields and you have to factor in impenetrable and the related c-passive

    Sorry, I'm not a scoreboard chaser, I play MY way and I prefer having more constant damage output than relying on crits for my Stam Sorc. I don't think that extra 12% Crit Damage is going to make or break success in the game- but for a min/maxer their ego probably couldn't handle the slight crit damage loss.

    Well, if you really want to calculate your DPS...

    For stamina: ((Max stamina / 10.5) + Weapon damage) * ( 1 + (Critical chance * Critical damage))

    30% Crit chance is 0.3, base crit damage is 50%, or 0.5. Best way to balance crits is to have the same crit chance as crit damage. For proof:

    30% crit chance and 70% crit damage = 21% extra DPS
    40% crit chance and 60% crit damage = 24% extra DPS
    50% crit chance and 50% crit damage = 25% extra DPS
    60% crit chance and 40% crit damage = 24% extra DPS
    70% crit chance and 30% crit damage = 21% extra DPS

    I do this once in a while, considering, also, that you can't crit shields, and a bigger pool means longer before running out of fuel (and great synergy with % based resource recovery tools, such as DK's helping hands).

    Thanks, Shadow seems to be working for me, re these calculations also have to consider that I use the cloak morph which guarantees a critical hit, and seem to crit from stealth with the bow all the time too, so that seems to make Shadow more favourable to me even if I'm slightly below 50% (altho at the mo, I'm over) because these calcs don't factor in auto crits. Agree on Warrior wasn't impressed when I tried it out.

    All the stones seem seem weak to me. Atronarch gives 210 Magicka regen, whereas the 2 piece bonus for crafted Seducer armor is 112 (53%). I'm starting to think Thief and Shadow are valuable because it's hard to get the same magnitude of effects elsewhere. Maybe true for Steed (run speed) and Ritual (healing) as well.

    steed, orc for Swift Warrior passive, 120 CP into Lover for Wind Running and go full medium for Athletics skill :trollface:
    (Unlocks at The Lover Rank 120) Increases your Movement Speed by 2%. This applies to all types of movement.
    Also increases Health and Magicka Regeneration by 10% while sprinting.
    Swift Warrior
    Increases your damage with melee weapon attacks by 4%
    Reduces Sprint cost by 12% and increases Sprint speed by 10%

    As far as I know, this is the best for my build, Stam DK DD, using 2 handed and bow, 5 piece hundings, 3 piece night mothers, agility jewellry. I used to use The Warrior, but was told I'd do much better with The Thief, and it does seem to work :)

    Actually they should.make mundus stones like RNG, hit it and you get a random muds for 12 hrs until you can try again. Oh wait nvm, yeah that would be stupid, just like the current endgame RNG.
