Orsinium has solid xp from creation right up to V16. No other zone can say that.

It has two daily quests which both have the potential to drop some great loot.

It has the top tier nodes in the game, harvestable from really low levels potentially.

The only other zone remotely comparable is Cyrodiil.

I'm struggling to figure out what the OP actually wanted that wasn't delivered.

What? I am saying that there is still other stuff to do that new people want to do but cannot as the number of experienced people who want to also teach them aren't there.

I have undaunted maxed and all my gear. I don't need to do pledges yet I do them 3x a day or so to help others.

    Also not everyone has Orsinium.

I never said anything bad about orsinuim either but it is true that it will be another grind. Repeatable dailies = grind.

Not that I mind or even actually care.

However it will take most hard core players a week if that to complete orsinium objectives.

After that it will be rinse repeat. Again which is fine and my OP has nothing to do with.

    :-)

You're on PS4 NA or I would Crag with ya. It is FUN and a really awesome story line to boot.

Most the people who think Craglorn is Grindlorn and stupid have never even done the quests. It really is good (EXCEPT the MAJOR MAJOR nerf to Shada's Tear So Sad.)

Yeah I really enjoyed Crag's quests. They should be done by anyone who likes story.
Some people would love to but the 1990s group-or-die design of Craglorn means most who weren't around when the land-rush took place never will get the chance.

I did most of craglorn with one other person except certain doors which was indeed a pain because you needed 4 people on same phase of quest to open and a couple bosses we had to call a tank in literally to tank. Other than that...

Also when you say land rush I think Archeage and feel confused as to what you refer. Clarify please?

I will never understand why people gripe about not getting anything worthwhile for their time so much. Isn't just playing the game worthwhile? I mean we are all here to play the game after all. What's the point if all you care about is just collecting all that meta-approved gear? I mean look at it this way: If that is all you care about then what will you do once you get it? Spend all your time in Cyrodiil or MSA Leaderboards? The fact that it takes so much effort to get anything worthwhile gives you something to shoot for that actually lasts! If you get it too soon not only is what Gidorick said about it losing value true but you also end up with a lot less to shoot for far too soon! I get RNG is a butthole and can be frustrating to anyone, I truly do, but simply raising the drop rates because you hate RNG is not the answer.

This is to summarize the entire thread.. ISN'T JUST PLAYING GOOD ENOUGH?

I have a friend who maxed all crafts, got to max rank, crafted purple Magnus set, and is now just standing around Belkarth. I got to r14 (back in the days....), got gear, upgraded it to legendary myself... And he was still standing around there. Probably afking and alt-tabbing, but jeez, was that what you were paying subscription for? I have never done a single thing with him in game, except for chatting. Even that sort of 'players' is better than 'PLAYERS' who just ignore you when you ask for help, but are besties with you as soon as they need it. This guy at least explained crafting to me lol and some lore tidbits.

Soooo which of these prefers being logged on to do nothing but stand about in Stormhaven looking at themselves to doing anything even if they've done it? MMO Jockeys or Elder Scrolls Fans.

The OP doesn't really apply to people who haven't cleared trials a bunch or who cannot clear pledges with ease because they would still be willing to get in there.

I think people like to put on these airs or even convince themselves that they're just 'above' certain content so that instead of having fun they just shoot themselves in the foot over their own arrogance and stand there lookin at their character's backside :p:D

Yep because too good to do something 'easy' or 'boring' but perfectly ok with standing around /w ing everyone how good and bored you are.

    This is pretty simple.

A large part of the fun in MMOs is progression. The more activities in the game that don't have progression, the less fun there is to be had. This game is built on repetitive, static content. That wasn't our decision. So yeah, if there is nothing to get from running a dungeon for the 10th time, it just isn't fun. If doing a trial for the 10th time yields nothing of value, then that isn't fun.

Now, pvp, for me is fun without the progression. But a lot of other activities in the game are not. If this was a true TES title, with consequential choices, and an immersive world, then maybe that wouldn't matter. But ZOS has made an MMO with TES races, locations, and lore. Not a multiplayer TES game.

Of course just playing the game is worthwhile.

The problem, as I see it, is that people will only chase the prize for so long. ZOS dangles the must have item in front of players faces and snatches it away every time they grab for it until many just lose interest and stop reaching for it. Keep doing that enough, and people will be conditioned to expect to never get the prize and will stop trying no matter what the newest must have item is.

Yes I know it is RNG, but ZOS controls that and needs to realize that not everyone lives in the game 24/7 and deserves to be rewarded from time to time too.

Is this game about adventure and excitement and just having fun wandering about Tamriel and getting trouble or is it about collecting meaningless items, trophies and acknowledgements?

First, we *need* cross faction overworld zones. Right now, if you want to do any of that content, you are not able to play with 2/3 of the other players who are also looking to do this content.

    ????

You don't need to group for any of the overworld content in this game.

Since achievements and loot, people don't play for "fun" anymore. They want a reward and that's it, whether it's fun or not.

When, for example, people played Battlefield 1942... there where no leaderboards, achievements, unlocks or whatever. People played for fun.
When I play BF2142 or BF3, I had many people leave the game because "they already have all unlocks" or "have a *** K/D ratio".

The same for mmo's. I played Starwars Galaxies, which didn't have quests to start with and there was no reward for anything. But people played... for "fun". Same could be said for Vanguard or other mmo's which did have rewards for most quests/raids, but people did stuff over and over again like overland raids which didn't give rewards, but because it was fun.
These days, if there is no better loot reward then they already have... they don't like to do it.

I love the dungeons in TESO. I could do them over and over again. I wish I found a group who would do all dungeons on veteran mode with me. I don't need a reward. I play for the fun.

I don't care about achievements. I don't like the fishing... so I won't have the master angler achievement. Other people also don't like the fishing, but do go for the achievement... why? They play not to have fun, but for the unlocks.

"I am a nightblade. Blending the disciplines of the stealthy agent and subtle wizard, I move unseen and undetected, foil locks and traps, and teleport to safety when threatened, or strike like a viper from ambush. The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

I somewhat disagree. Nobody wants to do anything so I end up trying to solo the world bosses in Wrothgar. When someone shows up and we finally kill it, those soul gems they drop are the most beautiful things I've ever seen, because they help replace the countless deaths I've had up to that point. That's value right there.
But yeah, I'm being a little sarcastic (and truthful) and fully agree.
