I am in a guild where none of the stuff described above happens and I am on almost every day. Just be patient and find the right group for you. There are multiple females in the guild I am in and no one every harasses them or says inappropriate stuff to them.

My problem isn't with some of the guys that don't know how to talk when a girl is in chat, it's with hearing the dogs barking, kids crying and TV blaring in the background.
Chat is a great feature, just wish some gamers knew how to use it

I have never had problem on GTA. I have been playing with the same cool clan, as in Defiance.

Sorry you had to experience that. I speculate that the level of maturity may be lower on consoles compared to PC (my own prejudice of course), at least I don't experience it as being an issue on the PC version.

CapnPhoton✭✭✭✭✭I have had a few issues with voice chat, but mostly it is ok. there is just an annoying issue with guild main chat at the moment. 2 guys are constantly talking. It is half about the game and half about random stuff. They never stop, and for 1 of them, every sentence has to have the F word in it. Good guild, 2 chatter boxes that don't stop. But I can turn it off.

✭voice chat just sucks as only option...
the chat is fast really noisy because there are to many people (trying) to speak. if you get in a group like 6 people just trying to speak it is hard to actually hear what they are saying.
and about don't having problems on pc about it is wrong i played on pc on release and you had the same issue. The difference was because it was text chat it is easyer filtered out, game is B2P now so more trolls and if you use 3rth party software like teamspeak you already know them so you already filtered people out of your voicechat.
I turn my area chat of almost immediatly when i login or when i just enter a larger city i will be reminded again why i do this.
Still sad to see people behave like this to female gamers though it isn't 1995 anymore... when girl gamers WEREN'T common0 -

When you support something you accidentaly disregard anything negative you see about it, the human brain is a strange thing but it is only natural! It's not that all platforms are idiots, it's that each platform has a handful of complete morons who can't get out of the 12 year old mentality of "I like this so everyone else must like it so I'm not alone and have people to play with.." .. when they could do the smart thing and go on the relevant category to make friends who already play on the same platform as them!
If I had the money I would buy a PS4 honestly, the new robot-dinosaur game coming out next year looks so amazing! I already have a gaming laptop which I use for Smite and a few Steam games, I have a Wii U, I have a 3DS, a PS1 and PS2 and of course both my 360 and my One.
Why stick to one console and be limited to the games you can play, that's my way of looking at it!
Though if I did have to pick one to play, it would have to be my One!
