Try weapon swapping during combat and let me know how that goes!
If they did do away with animation cancelling - pvp would be ok but they would have to adjust npc enemy rapid fire.

No the words you are using don't mean what you think they do. I hit a button an action happens. What many of us are asking for is a combat that is base off more choice.
It is a balance problem as well, as some skills have this loophole others don't making the combat feel clunky and broken.

i may have confused you. animation cancelling aside, my point is the game is not as responsive as it should be. more choice in combat will do nothing for responsiveness. when you have to hit a key 3 or 4 times to get one reaction, that's not responsive enough for the tight level of combat that this game is striving to achieve. i agree balance is a big issue but it is another issue unrelated to responsiveness in combat. not saying its not a good game, obviously i believe that it is - i'm playing it. i'm just saying it needs more work to get where they want it to go.
I find it funny that most of the people that post here is completelly ignoring the fact that in order to animation cancel accordingly you need to have semi decent ping(ms), and this is very limiting to every player that is not even close to the server or that has to play on more than 200-300ms.
I see players saying L2P and if someone told me that, then I will answer I did/I'm in the proccess to. That still doesn't give anybody the right to keep their head up their ass and not realize that the game has to follow a course reaching the greater good for the health of the playerbase and the numbers of players you get to play with every day.
No counterplay because I can spam 4 abilities in 1 second and a half, every second and a half, it is not healthy for any game. Specially when everybody is limited to several things like MS, FPS, packet loss, balance, and every other thing we suffer on here.
