"Load screen boss" is a commonly used term.
Group members warn others when they're about to enter a loading screen.
People wonder why a group member isn't responding, or where they are, and are told that "they're probably on a loading screen."
Friends commonly apologize for not responding to inquiries right away because they were on the load screen boss.
You leave your computer to get things done when you enter a loading screen, and when you come back you're bemused to find that you're still on it.
You avoid switching zones for fear of the loading screen.
You feel like you spend more time on loading screens than playing the game sometimes.

I've been testing how many things I can get done when on a loading screen. So far;

1) Fixed lunch, ate all of it, decided to have dessert.

2) Mowed the lawn.

3) Cleaned and reorganized the hall closet.

If I hadn't done all this during one loading screen, perhaps I wouldn't be contemplating getting a second job. But I am.

Yeah it's a rather ridiculous time for the loading time of this game. What's worse is know your character is in the zone while the loading screen is up.

It's the ultimate unbreakable CC.

When the Ourobos on the loading screen stops moving clockwise.

when cant go back to the game after Alt-tabbing and have to force stop TESOTU because its not responding (windows 10)

THIS! Makes me so mad! Is it just a Win 10 thing? Because I'll just add that to my list of why I'm kicking myself for "upgrading" from win 8.1.
I'm assuming it is because that hardly ever happened to me before.

Well positive thing.. Sitting too long is not good for your back. So every loading screen I get to stand up and walk a few hundred meters.

Aside from the first one I've done/experienced all of these things. $:\$

Another thing I don't do anymore is cycle through alts to collect hireling mats. Just killing random mobs in the time it takes to wait for loading screens generally yields more gold than the mats are worth.

This Drives me INSANE!! Windows 10 also, I never noticed it before IC but it drives me crazy now!! Just our of interest I'm using an Nvidia card.

Loading screens being this long is nice sometimes, gives me a decent bathroom break and enough time to get a snack or something. It also makes me tired faster so I don't spend all hours of the night gaming.

ALL of these things happen to me with appalling frequency. Oh and riding from one gate in Evermore to the other results in THREE separate loading screens. Apparently my tiger is TOO FAST and must be slowed down. Though I've yet to see a "SLOW CHILDREN AT PLAY" sign to warn me to slow my roll...

Another indication is, when in a loading screen, you get kicked from the game for inactivity

It's happened to me numerous times... like just now for example.

Had to leave a group running world bosses yesterday because anytime I traveled to player i got hit with the load screen and they had already completed and moved on to the next world boss.

Yah, thanks ZOS, I remember when they initially blamed the load screens on the player base too...

Only time I get a load screen that is (at longest) 2 minutes is when im loading a totally new zone. In zone I get like 10-15 seconds

You say that so calmly, I actually admire that.
But...
Even two minutes are not acceptable. For the very first load of a play session... maybe.
Most certainly not while your are already in and want to actually play.

I was actually wondering about this. Since the last update, it seems that the inactivity timer is far more sensitive than it used to be. I don't know what it used to be, but it seems shorter now. (It also will kick you out of the character-select screen now, and it never used to do that.)

I was worried that getting kicked for inactivity during a load screen could become an actual thing. Pains me to hear that this is actually the case.

Been there too. Except that I can't force stop ESO, I must shut down the computer the harsh way... I hate that!

This was jarring the first time this happened (and ONLY since Orsinium DLC; I always logged out to the chr select when I knew I'd have to be afk for more than a couple minutes, but not more than 10 or 15; I got kicked out within 5!

I've never had to type a password as much as I do with this game. Not even close. Just sayin'.

I don't have any issues at all with loading screens. The longest loading screen I've ever seen was like 3 mins and that was right after a patch, logging in to my main for the very first time that day. And it only happened once. Otherwise, my load screens are about a max of 30 seconds. My computer is decent but not high end by any means and I have satellite internet so my ping is terrible (internet ping, never tested my in-game ping but i don't imagine it's any different).
Is this only an issue with vet chars or something (I don't have any vets yet)?

It is most likely issue only with vet characters, yes.

Yeah, wait until you get a Vet character. My Vet character load screens for new zones are never less than a full minute.
