why dont we got gold with our weeklys?
in order to make gold in PvE you need to farm something which is really lame
if I was full time pvp'er I wouldve had more then half a mil AP (prolly somewhere around 2-3 million) when the patch dropped and would be rolling in gold from akiavari
but alas I had only saved half a mil poor poor pve scrub

With the release of Orsinium being great all the new content and all the new gear, and the release of Maelstrom Arena it's been a real blast, but running Malestrom Arena costs about 50,000 gold per run this includes Potions and Repair Bills (with CP Cap you can't manage to get the reduced repair bill cost anymore either) and because of so it's restricting many players from running that content now as they can't support it due to the lack of making gold - everything being Bind on Pickup.
I know ZOS won't acknowledge the issue with the overwhelming amount of BoP for no reason behind it but if it is stopping players from running content (DLC content) then it's becoming a problem. Not sure what you guys are doing but please change your minds, this is getting pretty bad, most of the guys I play with are having trouble getting into Arena now, not only does it not drop Masters Weapons each time, the gold sink is absurd, gives a lot of resentment and feeling restricted into what content you can actually do especially when there is no guaranteed Master Weapon drop with random traits.
With an average of 50,000 gold per run and random traits you're looking at spending around 20,000,000 gold just to get the weapon you're looking for. I've personally done 5 runs and completed three times and have spent over 200,000 gold.
Please do something... @ZOS_GinaBruno

I only did one run and I died 120 times (Stamina DK with 678 Stam regen, lol) because it was the first time ever and I had to learn mechanics. I didn't use any potions so it just cost me 15k. my next run will probably have around 20 deaths and it will cost me a maximum of 3k gold? I don't see a big issue ... use less potions :')

PvP gold is so low you can't even buy a piece of gear with it. It doesn't even cover the first day of potions in a campaign.
Zos is nuts....lol

One if us is excellent in PvP (while the rest of us plain suck at it) and each time he became emperor we were so proud of him that we provided him with everything he needed. We were still a "team", even if we were not actually playing together in PvP.
I guess "competition" in elite guilds killed help and team spirit ?
And please, Nifty, do not speak for the "vast majority of players". You're far too far above the clouds for that.
The game is designed so that just playing its "combat part" doesn't make you rich. PvE'rs who don't farm, craft and trade are poor, too. If you don't like that and prefer VMA instead, that's fine, as a consequence, you're poor, that's ok, your choice.
You don't want "less good players" to have access to BiS gear without working hard to beat the hardest content ? Well, farmers don't want you to make gold without effort, either. Fair enough... I guess.

ZOS are inevitably bringing back 3rd party gold selling websites, now that gold is incredibly hard to come by for the PvER unless you farm which many are against it makes players who want to do content look for gold from websites. While I'm against this and don't want the gold selling back in the game ZOS you should address the issue because it becomes a problem

The player is at fault then. No game allows players to "buy" gold from a third party website because that is a security hazard to said player. Game corporations discourage this and take action towards it to protect the playerbase. The players themselves, however, should have the common sense to not attempt such transactions. Desperation often leads to disaster.

There isnt as much securtiy hazard if you use a little bit of that common sense, why not pay a little bit of money for some in game gold? whats a few dollars?
Well the only thing I think needs a damage nerf would be the flame warrior on round 8 mini boss, her banner is insane, chain inside a 15k banner lol. I think that's all that needs a "damage nerf" but I just want fixes
UltimaJoe777 wrote: »Do you Alchemy bro? I do!
On PC/NA, it's cheaper in many (most?) cases to buy the crafted potions than to buy the mats to craft them yourself. It's one reason a lot of people just resort to selling the ingredients instead of potions, because there's (slightly) more gold for the former.
So the question should be, "Do you farm flowers, bro?" The answer to which likely is, "I can't if I'm spending all my time inside MSA."

Now I believe ZOS wanted Maelstrom to be a personal achievement type challenge. The people who run the trials to farm complain when they nerf them because now anyone can do them so they don't have to pay outrageous prices for the items the farmers sell them at. Now the farmers are complaining about BOP in Maelstrom because they can't sell them at outrageous prices.
So it isn't about personal achievement to the OP - its about making gold - ZOS knows this so they made it the way it is to keep it more about personal achievement.
