What is most creepy is that there is a Crib in Ravenwatch castle in Rivenspire...

DC homes, especially upper class homes, are filled with cribs for some reason.

Well obviously Children where at *some point* planned to be in the game. However because of international law and many countries having laws against children being in violent games. You have a neutered game that kinda sorta breaks the immersion.

IE check out Fallout 2. the American version has children, The International version Does not.

in Skyrim there where children. but obviously invulnerable. If the audience was purly american I imagine we could have a game where we hang brutus by his toes for torturing and taking timmys lunch money every day. But alas that sorta thing, or anything further would be Simply barbaric and be considered legally *obscene* in many countries around the world. So all the cribs, playgrounds, and schools will most likely remain empty, and the mothers of the TES series will remain childless.

Proof please, I saw children in 1 & 2 in the UK release. I was of the understanding that it was US rules that were more strict about this sort of thing!

Ah I probably downloaded the patch then. Odd that really, because it's usually US versions of films and media that have a 'tame' or toned down ending compared to International release. Apart from Australia, their censors can be a bit overzealous.

    Really?

I've never noticed anything like that. I mean we have a rating system... but I'm pretty sure we're allowed to watch or see just about anything except the really really gross kitty stuff.

I mean, they show people committing suicide on television from time to time, and cops murdering people. so... idk where ur coming from :P

Ending of The Butterfly Effect (movie) was well toned down for US release, if you want a good example - that is often the case with movies, it's not even censored by whoever does your certification, the movie maker just gives you a different version that isn't going to cause issues for the certification board and releases the intended version elsewhere.

The UK is (like a lot of Europe) not necessarily concerned with the same things being offensive as the US, for example we are generally more relaxed about nudity and swearing or religiously challenging content on tv, but a bit more concerned about violence.

Well we already have immortal guards why not immortal children? I say its a great compromise for the game just don't make the children witnesses at all.
