Solo players need a buff to help them survive

I consider myself an unskilled player (I'm more into crafting and trading), but I rarely had problems with solo content (original Doshia e.g.). Though I have excellent gear, I have pretty random skills (using what I like best) and less than 100 CPs, being far from min-maxing. And it works anyway. So, no, I don't think there is a reason for a solo buff. If I can make it, anyone can make it 8)

How come can't you find a group for a dungeon if in your description you have "Guildmaster of the Dawnchasers"? Or is it a strict solo guild?

I feel like ZOS are digging their own grave again (first attempt was champion system) by feeding players with solo content in MMORPG. Next DLC there will be (hopefully) a new trial that requires a group of 12 players, but too bad there will be only "solo" players left in the game...

It'd be nice if they applied that buff for solo players in public dungeons or when they're fighting world bosses, but beyond that there's no need. I just wanna solo those two for when there are no other players around.

Orsinium has been better received than both Craglorn and Imperial city. Solo content is more popular.

Also the next DLC is the thieves guild, so no trial until murkmire.

The OP has a valid opinion and you either should
say some useful or just do not post at all.

The communication situation on consoles is a MESS without text chat.
On PC, you can find someone for a dungeon in a minute, on consoles this can take a week.

Azurephoenix999, I can feel your pain, I have been in the same situation.
My best advice is to ask people directly for help in the area or the next city.
There are many *** in this game, but there are also very nice people.

With a little luck you will eventually find some nice people this way.
In the end, we are all on the same boat and nobody should walk alone.

Sword & shield is available to anyone (mostly for stamina'ers find it useful), and although slows down the clearing speed, offers very good survivability.
On my DK I used Dots, snares, and sword&shield. Managed to solve all the publics. Though most of the time there were always randoms in these places.

It's not even about finding people.... This game's solo PvE is a walk in the park (vet arena aside), and it's already been nerfed.
And it's definitely not an elitist thing to say that if you fail at killings mobs in solo PvE, maybe you should go back to playing super mario....

The OP says that he doesn' want to join a guild full of strangers... how else do you expect to meet new people? It always starts with meeting strangers, I really don't see the issue here...

Managed to do the same with my DK and using Dual Wield and Two-Handed.
It's far from an optimized build and I don't feel the need to look up numbers and the like to improve it, but as a mainly solo player I don't see the issue since the Veteran content feels just right and everything below it became pretty easy once I figured out how a couple of skills worked; so far only a couple of Veteran World Bosses ever gave me any real trouble, and it was mostly because I messed up my strategy.
So given that, I have to comment with "3".

Alternatively a "2" if what we get for soloing stuff is a few achievements with maybe a title or two, but nothing that changes the actual gameplay.

If you can't solo public dungeons or bosses then your build is bad.

You can't use only one build for everything, you need to use specific skills to do pve, for example Brawler in the two-hand specialization.

My suggestions is check your build and use skills that will help you better in pve, even if you don't like them.

I am an introvert guy myself and had to admit, this game needs some socializing. Not only it helps to beat certain content swifter, but offers many other benefits as well.

So aside mastering mechanisms and skills, one need to get better finding allies too, and get through the shyness. That's as much part of the game as the rest.

Luckily there are thousand of guilds to join and very easy too.

    Sorry to say but L2P

You can solo everything except group dungeons and trails. Even most craglorn delve bosses are easy to kill solo if you have a decent build.

It's quite possible with a good build to solo all of these, so long as you're at least in VR. After I hit VR4-5, I go and take out all the world bosses + public dungeons that are under my level, then all ones at your level should be soloable with DOTs and lots of speed/roll-dodging

I also play solo for many of the reason you mention,

I think due to the poor decisions with how the economy works, there are many guilds which feel soulless as you're only a member to sell things!
You're right that LFG tool has been pointless, but this has been updated with the new DLC (still need to see how well this works!)
But you are wrong to say the game is too difficult for solo play, as mentioned by many this game is incredibly easy! I would never class myself as a good player, I play for fun, I've never had any issues soloing World bosses, delves and Dolmens on all classes, on some it is easier than others.
I don't play the cookie cutter builds, I use the huge range of skills available, for the situation I find I'm going to be in. But saying that I don't gimp myself by making stupid decisions based on what I think I should be able to do i.e. a magic/stam NB etc....

Rather than asking for the game to be made easier I would suggest getting advice on how you play your class, there are some on the forum that will help you with this within the specific areas in the forum.

Asking for a game that is essentially fairly easy to be made easier will get the usual L2P comments.

No offence OP but this game is laughably easy to solo, maybe its time for ya to check your build and gear/rotations and optimise it to your strengths and playstyle.

I can solo'd public dungeon, just fine. I never say this before, but this once i say it, you need to learn to play. We can actually solo'd public dungeon, many have done that. What you need is just the right skill and the right setup. Of course though, not every build can solo'd public dungeon, as it is meant to be done as a group or by tagging in random dungeon delver. But, all class have builds that can be used to solo'd public dungeons on factions PvE area (not craglorn).

Anyway, go join guilds. I don't have real life friends who play the game as well, but i do grouping just fine. Aside from guilds, you can use zone chat to look for people who want to group up with you to beat a group dungeon, though it is harder to find them for public dungeon.

Why do people assume L2P is not a valid response and isn't anything useful?

It is a legitimate response to the problem at hand. By learning the mechanics of the game, the abilities in the game, the various gear setups and how they complement your build, you will be able to overcome everything with ease.

Though it can be argued that the current PVE content can be cleared with ease without having properly learned any of the above points.

Sorry op, but you honestly do need to l2p, this games solo content is a laughable joke, I can do the entire game pressing just one skill on my bar, hell at vr8 I was soloing craglorn delves which are group content.

If anything solo content needs to be harder, mobs don't do any damage, even world bosses are a laughable joke.

I really think too many gamers have spent their entire life's playing every game possible in easy mode, and really don't have any sort of skill. I'm not hardcore player, but I enjoy challenges, games like dark souls, bloodborne (new game +6 is my current level) and others that actually offer some kind of challenge for a gamer.

Beating a dead horse here I know, but this is an MMO. It's meant to be played in groups. Okay so you have no friends with ESO, neither did a lot of people when they first started. I went through many of guilds my first few months, full of strangers, until I found ones that were helpful and informative.

In order to be successful in most MMOs, ESO included, you have to be willing to make friends. There's many parts of this game as a solo player that you'll never be able to complete.

OP "Play as you want" just means what it means. It doesn't say anywhere that you can get just as easy through content, or be able to finish group content solo.

Honestly I think it has been nerfed into Oblivion alredy, but if they nerf it further then I don't mind. These vet areas are so damn abandoned, that most people have to solo the world bosses, public dungeon group challenges, dolmens etc.
-However i also think the normal mobs should be buffed, becaus they're so easy atm. that once you hit Craglorn you won't be hardened enough to survive the wasps.

Now to say the last, if you struggle at solo content and think that veteran group content in this game is any easier, then I can assure you that you are wrong. Sure there is a healer, 2 damage dealers and a tank in your group- but the mobs have much higher health, they put out way more damage, there are often more of them. This is where minimum 2 stat blue food, potions and knowing where to step makes the difference of spending 200 soul gems and 4 hours in a dungeon or 15 minutes smooth no death run.

You should try to ask around in a zone, if anybody is willing to help out with a specific dolmen or worldboss, or do a public dungeon with you. If not, then ask for it in your guilds, or friends list.

Also try to get set armors that will boost your damage output. You can ask around if anyone is willing to craft you gear, if you provide all the materials.

OP: don't get discouraged. Some of us are more than willing to help you with this issue. Can you post your class and build (magicka/stamina) and what skills you generally use? I am confident with some tweaks to your game play you'll have a much easier time soloing. I used to struggle with public dungeons on my dedicated healer until I changed up my play style for solo encounters and it made all the difference.

I have soloed the entire game going from rank 1 to VR16 with a Sor and NB, yes I haven't managed to do the Trials or Arena but that's another story, as for taking on groups, at forst I had a bit of a hard time with the NB but after chucking on acid spray, whirlwind and mass hysteria I could handle groups of 5, as for the sorc there wasn't anything that really got in my way, the only time I died was when I wasn't really paying attention to my surroundings.
