Don't ever make a solo arena again.

It defeats the purpose of roles. No healer or tank will be able to complete vet maelstrom arena. Only DPS builds are able to complete it. You literally have to relocate all your champion points and change your gear, attributes, etc... to be able to complete it. This should not be the case in a game that sells itself as "PLAY THE WAY YOU WANT". Right....

Since when dis "play the way you want" mean "you can do anything and everything in the game by playing in whatever way you want"?

A solo arena is clearly intended for players with builds balanced for solo play. A pure healer or a pure tank is clearly a build balanced for group play. There's nothing wrong with having some content that pure solo builds will have real problems with, or some content that pure group builds will have real problems with.

There should be some content for each style of play. That way everyone can have some content that allows them to play the way they want.

"PLAY THE WAY YOU WANT" does not mean that at all. Not even close.

Play the way you want does not mean that the game caters to every little whim of play that anyone can come up with. It does not mean that players do not have to adapt to the game and changing circumstances. It does (edit) not release the player from the burden of learning to play in those circumstances.

It does mean that you can walk in there at Level 3, with no armor, no weapons, and no skill, champion, or attributes points allocated and die a glorious death.

5 heavy 2 light - Templar Tank/Healer - DPS SUCKS pretty bad

First try I made it to final boss level 6 before dying, never using an arena buff, had never played it on PTS or read anything about it. Was fun as hell.

Have to get back in there tonight and try again.

Or were you referring to Heavy Metal Vet?

True. You forgot to add: "you should solve actual long loading screens problems or lags in PvP before introducing completely new content".
There are so many growlers on the forum (among ESO players) that I'm sure ZOS got used to it and they know very well that not everyone will be satisfied. No matter what they do, there will be always people who do not appreciate their work. I don't really care whether it's PvE or PvP, solo zone or group content, as long as this game provides me with incredibly enjoyable entertainment. Amen ;-)

Example...If you are a full on healer, wtf are you doing in a solo arena? You think you are gonna be able to get through it without doing damage? Just gonna heal right on through all waves right?

You can't honestly expect us to believe that out of the 300 some odd skill points available, that you can't spec into DPS. I have 152 and I'm mostly spec'd for DPS and off heals.

Er.... I made an Argonian Magicka Nightblade Siphoning Tank on pts when I did this. Granted, I didn't have the best Dps in the world, but I have enough Survivability and resources to not die as often. In fact, the only time I did die was during the Ice Arena. And that was because I was being cocky and stood in one platform all the way though. Not everything has gotta be about who has the highest dps. If you're having that much trouble, maybe it's time to sacrifice dps for some tankyness.

Then again, I played this during Pts. So for all I know things could of changed.

Edit* I was wearing 5p Heavy Leeching Plate, 2p Heavy Molag Kena, 3 Willpower with Spell damage enchant, and two Maelstrom Fire staff, and Restro. I put all of my 200 Cp on Quick recovery and Blessed. I than added 50 Cp to both magicka regen and cost reduction. Not my ideal build, but it works.

Really? Can you suggest a way for content to exist in a SOLO arena with roles? Solo content isn't for everyone. If you want to play how you want, ZOS provides a place and a situation for it. When they advertise that you can play how you want, they dont say "Play how you want everywhere.

7 people agree with this guy? What is it? Did you guys think your build was superior and tried it and failed then promptly got angry because it didn't work? Are you really that convinced your build is superior to anything else that you refuse to change your "perfect" build? I've played on xbox since release and it seems even to me you are being unreasonable. IT ALL COMES DOWN TO THE MECHANICS. A TEMPLAR WHO IS MOSTLY A HEALER COULD SLOT NOVA AND A COUPLE AOE AND SINGULAR TARGET DPS ABILITIES WHILE KEEPING HIS BIG HEAL ABILITIES AND STILL COMPLETE THE VET MAELSTROM ARENA. Yeah I know I'm on xbox and you think I'm some noob who knows nothing, but I'm not. I'm always the last one to die in a group of 4 or more. My main is vet 16 and 4 other characters I'm working on. One for each class. Then another templar for my original alliance. All but one of the ad characters are at level 16. I'm no idiot.
