Yep until they make arenas for you duelers. Your fair game. I love running my zerg into those hidden off the path dueler locations. Easy points.

As you say, but generally speaking your decent players are with us duelling. The "zergs" that hit us are made up of people who don't know what they're doing, which obviously works in our favour.

Yeah I've seen it working in people's favor as we steamroll them and play with their corpses.

This is what I mean by no respect and Cyrodiil promoting animosity. Those who can't solo kill are the worst offenders

I disagree those who work with the other alliance have no respect and are the worst offenders. I guess we have to agree to disagree

Oddly enough, this is one of the most respectful things someone has said on this thread, and one I can agree on.

You do realize that there are multiple platforms to play eso on and that there are different campaigns right?

Your talking like we are cross-platformed or something.

Really hope you dueler lovers get arenas and stop gimping the armies in the warzone.

Has anyone thought to organize an in-game event so that you'd have enough ppl to discourage outsiders and balance the goal of the event. It may take a lot of planning and organizing but a lot of this is just to be expected unless its planned and established as such.

There is enough interest that if organized it would work out....

    Good luck

I think ESO would be awesome if it had small scale fights via. duelling areas (1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 1v1v1, 2v2v2, etc.) and also some form of battlegrounds (10v10 CTF or King of the Hill, <insert popular gamemode here>). Cyrodiil PvP as it is, is just incredibly frustrating if you are not on the side with the most people. Getting zergballed 24/7 without any proper means to deal with it just isn't fun.

I love the game to death, but all my favourite PvP moments have all revolved around two or three small groups of people fighting, not 60v20 as is the common for my alliance on NA..

I would even be happy with a casual arena, with no reward system. Just a place you go to where everyone is targetable, regardless of their alliance, and you can duel, or do informal 2v2's, 3v3's, etc. I don't care about rewards, I just want non Zergfest PvP without roaming around Cyrodiil for an hour in the hopes I can get a good 1v1.

I hope they bring dueling to the game. I want to especially duel people in my faction. As it stand now though, I never interfere with people dueling, and I inform my group not to do so as well.

That was until some trolls showed up and started sieging the area. I get that it's Cyrodiil and a huge battlefield, but ffs let us have some small-scale PvP and enjoy this game for a change. Stop ruining it just because you want to go back to running around in herds like the cattle you are.

ZOS, we need you to help promote small-scale PvP (you want this any way for performance, right?), an arena, instance PvP dungeons.. anything.

    Le sigh.

Small scale pvp such as 1v1 or dueling won't stop trolls. I can already see spectators standing by watching, lagging the area up,casting spells on purpose just to create more lag and spamming heals on one person or the other just because they can do so and because their parents failed miserably raising them. Let's not forget the unfair exploits such as dueling someone while your in a group just so you can have extra buffs for your own advantage.

I've seen it all with pvp and RPGs. It brings out more of the ugliness in people than it brings out the good.
Don't believe me? Check out post #30 talking about hate whispers. Those are the people that get so worked up in pvp they have to take their frustrations out on you somehow. Their parents failed them miserably and its people like that who destroy pvp in every RPG.

Good question. Loose lips I suppose. Btw anyone claiming they will "get you duelers with mah zerg," is free ap and not to be feared. It is known.

Tbh i accidentally break up dueling circles.

    How?

I always seem to end up chasing someone who tried to gank me and horribly fails so the fail ganker sees the duelers are friendly and runs to them for help which leads me and my group to the duelers.

Good luck keeping a group from slaughtering everyone at that point.

This is in Cyrodiil tho tbh, everyone seems to be in on the dueling inside IC.

How did they know you were dueling?

I suspect that someone in your group tipped them off. That is unless you decided to duel in a blatantly obvious place that would attract attention. Then its your fault.

I wish they just allowed us to go into enemy territory and those who saw us there would have to "flag" themselves for PvP if they wanted to fight. I think it's pretty lame that PvP is limited to Cyrodil. We are at war and yet you never see a single enemy player outside of Cyrodil. Pfft. Some war...

Seems like just another thread created to rile up anyone huffing and puffing about small scale with a 'Large Scale Players are bullying us' post.

I have to say I agree. I've slammed people duelling before, unintentionally, and I've likewise had it done to me at other occassions. You can't always know what two people are doing in a fight some where, particularly when its not patently obvious there's a fight club thing going on. I'd love it if we had a proper arena toward this purpose. It would also help us sort out mechanical issues with the game a lot easier, and help people learn mechanics easier. I'm all for it. Simultaneously I wouldn't want to see this 'Arena' kill Cyrodiil.

This would be fantastic. A Duelling and Small-scale Arena would be really good. Like I said though, I wouldn't want to see it take over Cyrodiil. I don't think Arenas should afford the same kind of reward (if any) that Cyrodiil earns. The battles themselves should be reward enough, both in knowledge and fun.

Unintentionally is a whole different story, and I don't blame you. Accidents happen. In this case, the members of their faction in the duelling ring actually jumped up down with their shields up in front of the people attacking, and told them with /s to stop, yet they kept going. So they basically said "kill them".

The whole point of this post is just to ask us to let us duel in peace. We don't have arenas, and we enjoy duelling. If you want to rush in and get slaughtered, then fine.

A solution I had a little while ago was duel banners. Something to signify a duel is in progress so people that happen to find us in the wilderness are aware - http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/226170/concept-duel-banners
Duel banners can also be used on members of the same faction.

I do really wish there was at least a dueling option or an arena, dont even have to have rewards. remember back in WoW there was an arena in stranglethorn vale. when you got in you were flagged for everyone including your own alliance. they sometimes added a chest in the middle (every hour? forgot) to fight over. nobody was forced to do it but it was alot of fun.

don't make it serious and for rewards and ladders cause then *** like class balance will *** things up

Haven't played WoW, but I have played a really dated MMO that even had an arena. It was pretty basic to say the least, but it was still there.
You could choose to battle someone of the same class, or go completely random. In their old arena, people could even go in as spectators, but they completely broke it.
