Actually, TES series have a lot of good quest rewards.

Gray Cowl of Nocturnal in Oblivion was a quest reward and the best stealth hood in the game.
Spellturn Cloak and Bladeturn Hood in Oblivion was a quest reward and the best robes in the game.
Archmage Robes in Skyrim was a quest reward and the best robes in the game.
Mehrunes Razor in Skyrim was a quest reward and the best dagger in the game.

Not to name numerous dragon priest masks in Skyrim that gave a lot of versatility when building your character, daedric artifacts that despite not being the most powerful items in the game were both unique and had a funny-to-use effect (polymorphing Wabbajack, mob-reanimating Staff of Worms or Sanguine Rose).

Now please tell me how does that compare to Superb Boots of Health or Nightwood Bow of Flame etc. rewards in ESO?

Well, in the 10 months since I wrote that which you quoted, I still have not completed Cadwell. Not once. I have not even completed Silver. I foolishly started Silver in exchange for a few Champion Points when Update 6 rolled out. Yes, I have sinned.

But, you're wrong, I didn't read the post. I looked at the pictures and filled in the blanks. When I saw a screen cap of the reward instantly being deleted, no dignified response was needed.

I think forcing us to play Cadwell Silver and Gold was a mistake,

If I had done it
1) Sky shards would have been account wide, so I can play through with a 3 separate characters for each faction rather than dragging every character through 3 alliances
2) Silver and Gold would not have given skill points for quest creation.]
3) No VET levels and I would have added meaningful content at level 50 to do other than PvP or Cadwells Silver

But that would have just been me. I hate Cadwell Silver and Gold and find them a boring grind, with choices which don't matter because its not by faction, doing things my Character would never do, and showing how pointless the choices I did make for my own faction were.

I know this is a very old thread but I am updating it to help newer players post vet rank removal and post One Tamriel. My reward for completing Cadwell's Gold was some xp, a stupid cookpot hat to let everyone know I'm pathetic and a piece of crap ring from the Blessing of Meridia Set that I already had from a Colharbour treasure chest. The trinket wasn't even gold but purple and sells for approx. 1,900 gold (I currently have 1.9m in the bank). So, the week spent doing only the Cadwell Journal quests could have been spent in a number of more rewarding, profitable and, most certainly, satisfying pursuits.

But, then, I realized that I had accepted the quest from a known lunatic. The reward fits Cadwell's value system not mine. I'm the fool of a fool. I now understand why no one says anything about completing Cadwell's.

In the final analysis, I theorize that ZOS has never improved this quest reward since game launch 2+ years ago as a a little "Ha ha" to the ongoing mass of complainers, whiners, and malcontents they constantly entertain on the forums. "Good show!" Cadwell said.
