For the amount of time the console versions were in development, some of these functionalities should have been considered. If we'll never get free rebinds, we should at least have 5 or 6 controller options that change more things than jumping to R3. Please revisit the console controls in one of the coming major content updates. This is from the perspective of a PS4 player, but I'm sure the xbox has controlls to improve upon as well.
General control:
- Increase max camera sensitivity (a lot).
- Extend the size of the emotes wheel. Being limited to 8 quickslots kinda sucks. that wheel could be 12 or 15 slots big. the potion quick slot wheel too.
- Optional Push to talk button (hold right dpad?)
- scroll backwards in quest log (dpad left after right)
- ****Right hand swap weapons ****X*O*[]*^*R3****??please?
- potion on right hand would be a nice option too
Combat rebinds:
- ***either more configurations to include the following ***
- or far better, freely remap-able buttons
-left dpad with square (people who use toggles)
-switch L1 with L3, and R1 with R3
-down dpad with interact (X) (plus left stick for camera adjust*)
-slightly increase the target radius for resurrection
-***mount button with resurrect*** (ps4 options button doesn't hold nicely)
-**Map and menu buttons**
Menu control:
- * split stack and delete item in trade/ vender/ guild store
- (ps4) menus can be controlled by scrolling center track pad.
- (ps4) trackpad left should recede menu, right should advance.
- Add the ability to look at your bag/ map while still moving. The world doesn't stop; Right stick + ps4 trackpad could easily control the menu, infact it would be more intuitive anyways. Maybe even allow combat while in menu.
