I'm beginning to think that all those people who played DAoC need to realize it's not 2001 anymore.
ESO was made by some of the people that made DAOC. The root of most of this game's problems.Everyone that whined they wanted full access to IC all the time is a moron.
This would get people back in cyrodiil fighting and give you some grace time to use IC while your side opens it.
This would also let a group that is inside IC while it's not open to their side prove just how good they are as they vs the legions of people swarming in from the side that just opened IC.
I'm beginning to think ZOS and a vast amount of ESO players here have never heard of or played DAoC or any Pvp game outside of WoW type arenas and capture the flag....

PBpsy, I know you love to see your name everywhere, but the third post in this thread already said that, this confirms that people like you posting here don't even read the thread before posting. Not surprising to be honest but it's concrete evidence.

Actually it's not that...when ZOS decided in closed beta to open up accounts to remove the faction locks it messed up all of PvP and now all PvP content will suffer.
It's not ppl from DAoC who have the wrong mindset but the reality that ZOS had mad a few decisions that have caused exponential adverse affects. VR levels, silver n gold zone locks, IC I hated access and faction unlocks removing the subscription but still trying to roll out DLC that only fits game-wide and paid content and optional.
That train is long gone. I payed for IC, so I want to play it when I choose. I would like though if they tweak it somehow to motivate ppl to play there for the future.

The best I could see them doing if such a major change came around, is giving all players that bought Imperial City previously 2500 Crowns.

Call me a pessimist, but I dont see ZOS ever considering this kind of solution.

I can respect that. The concept for IC was developed when the game was still a subscription model, and the gated access to it makes sense for that. It doesn't make sense to have gated access to content you've paid for, along with exclusive rewards within that content. It's just too easy for no-lifers to troll everyone else out of the content they've paid for. It seems like some of the decisions that ZoS has made (like going f2p) have affected portions of their product (like IC) and no elegant solution was found to fix the issues.

I think people just want a 4v4 or a 10v10 to fit their needs they have become so accustomed to when playing call of duty and halo.
doing 1v1s are boring especially when my DK is up against sorcs who shield stack with crazy amount of CP all i ever get into is a stalemate.
but yes it would be nice to have a small scale arena type PvP deal to break up the monotony.
