Yeah.. right now casual should go to normal mode instead of vet.. V15 and V16 difference isn't that big for the boss helm with v16 shoulder from undaunted chest. It will be nerved soon or later.. Maybe a while after Orsinium.

You can have 1k CPs and it wont help you if ppl cant play and follow tatcics. Its not a hard dungeon imo. But its true that its hard with randoms. My advice is to use TS and dont give up and try to run it with same ppl. When you get used to it its a cake!

Also. I still think Sorc Pet Tanking is more clever than game breaking, it doesn't work on Kena or anything. Just the Inhibitor.

I have cleared it atleast 70x,. it is not that hard,.. It does not need to be nerfd at all,. just practise.
It is part of the hardest content in game, your supposed to find it a challenge,. There is no reason why it should be a face roll for everyone...and if your wondering,. i only have 292 cp,

So i suggest you stop complaining and go get some friends and practise like we did,.. our 1st attempt we took 6h to complete. now we do 30min runs.

Pretty much agree with this. It's absolutely not impossible.

Find a half-decent guild and don't expect to PUG what is supposed to be the hardest content in the game right now.

You need Teamspeak.


Get your tank to swap to dps gear, no tank required for this fight.

Everyone should be using Harness Magicka (Light armor skill) to mitigate damage while they have the boss on them.

Tip - Dont start dpsing the boss before the pinion is closed for the 1st time, or the dot tick on the 1st person will overwhelm the healer.

Follow order of group to take pinions 1-2-3-4 (skipping the person on portals)

Pinion - The person who is next on the pinion should be waiting near the middle to take it,. must be closed a.s.a.p.

Portals - Stay close to middle only spinning 360 degrees to close them, only range dps the portals.
(stamina user Flying/Hidden blade)


If everyone follows this, the 3rd boss is easy.

I know it is being nerfed a little when Orsinium comes out, and the gear drop rates are being buffed. It is in the latest PTS patch notes. They gave it extremely high difficulty and extremely low drop rates to keep us busy until new content came out. And when Thieves Guild comes out in February or whatever, they will nerf Maelstrom Arena a bit. And so it goes. The circle of (MMO) life.

VWGT isn't that hard. Unless you have bad dps. Then it's hard. Not standing in damage and playing smart make this place a cake walk.

Really even one weak player can tip things, we had this tank...oooh boy, did not understand that one does not spam Steel Tornado when one is trying to gain Aggro.

Unfortunately for those of us who already found the dungeon a bit too easy, they're already nerfing monster damage in vWGT and vICP next week with the Orsinium update. That being said, even now, there are videos of the dungeon with everything you need to know to burn through it.

Also, cheating the mechanics is unnecessary. If something saves you 5-10 seconds, and you've cleared the fight 200 times already, by all means go ahead and have your sorc pet tank something or whatever. However, that doesn't change the fact that Kena and the Planar Inhibitor are relatively easy with reasonably efficient builds* and knowledge of the fights' mechanics.

*reasonably efficient builds. You do not need min/maxed builds to complete these dungeons.
