Has the pc been down two days in a row? Ps4? Didn't think so. That's why I said Xbox users

I feel the OP should be able to at least inquire about the possibility of some sort of compensation for the last 2 days. ZoS can of course tell him to shove it or maybe they will offer something. That's up to them. They have no obligation at all.

Why the OP thinks that only XBOX users are involved in this outage is somewhat baffling.

Anyone with eso+ should get something. I understand it's 2 days but where was the "hey we are going to upgrade some servers next week and the downtime could be longer than anticipated, maybe even days?"

Again not informing people in advance is where this went wrong. Not everyone plays 24/7 people pay for a service, they expect to be able to use it when they want especially when it wasn't even mentioned in advance. Some people work and others have family and friends.

Imagine you work 40+ hours a week and you have a wife who does the same. You plan a family vacation to disneyworld. When you get to the airport they tell you "sorry we are closed for some server upgrades. No flights in or out for 2+ days."

Would you be upset? Why you don't own the airlines. They are just offering you a service you paid for.

Of course you would be pissed. Of course you could do other things with your time as well but you aren't getting the service you paid for.

How about I turn your water off for 2+ days it's just a service too.

You can say this is for the best, but how can you possibly know it's gonna do anything positive? I find it funny all these people defend something they have no idea about. Would you still defend it if this lasts a week?

I think you misunderstand the gaming industry. This whole post you talk about the game and company being a service. Its not a service. You bought the game, you play the game. That's really the end of what you get.

I understand people are upset, no one is diggin not being able to play. However, ZOS is in thier right to take the servers down whenever and however they feel they need to.

And no, I'm not just defending them, it's in the TOS. They dont have to compensate for anything. They dont owe us anything. If they so chose to compensate for time lost, cool. If not, nothing anyone can do about it but gripe.

You misunderstand what a service is I think. They indeed provide you a service. You pay for the game and your on your own? It's online and you're using their servers and their service. If this was a single player game you might be right but as an mmo they host its their service.

Eso+ members pay extra $$ every month for various reasons. I love this game and my friends I play it with. It's not about the money it's about the decisions they make and how those decisions NEVER get told to the public in advance. If they said last week about this people would be more understanding but they never do. Everything is always the night of or the day of.

Some people have less playtime than others so this hits them harder.

World of Tanks gives premium subscription time to all its players when they have server issues to make up for lost time. Even the free to play ppl get it. This practice actually gives the free players a taste of premium subscription and i have witnessed some subscribe afterwards because of it.
What would it cost ZOS? nothing.

You don't pay Zenimax to be able to play ESO on Xbox
    You pay Microsoft for that.

Please go to the Microsoft forums and ask there.

ZOS eliminates all of their liability in the TOS. You should read it sometime, preferably before agreeing to it.

What I find funny is that when a someone says its in the TOS or contract well then you agree to it. Costco thought the same thing yet they had to give out craptons of $$ to customers for over billing and shortening memberships. There are MANY other examples. Just because something is in writing doesn't make it the law of the land. It just keeps sheep in line.

If we are eso plus members, we should be given two days added to our memberships. (Xbox members)

I have the rare week off from work, and the last two days instead of playing the game I planned to play during my vacation, I am stuck reading the forums while everyone complains about the game being down.

We pay to have access to our game and have our "premium" benefits. Since you've admitted it wasn't an intended outage and the mistake was on your end, I feel strongly that Xbox users should be given this time we've paid for back. Any thoughts?

Let me rephrase that, 'Australians should get 2 days free.'

Also when people say nothing can be done wrong again. There is always things that can be done. Most companies just compensate you because they don't want the headache of a class action lawsuit. Not that I'm suggesting someone do that over this but there have been more frivolous lawsuits out there for far less $$. I recently received 1.xx$ from one. I think it was from sprint back in the day. They paid out a fortune, lawyers took a lot and the customers got under 2$.

Costco didn't break any law, though, and admitted no liability or fault in that settlement.
And that's an instance where the dispute was over something not in writing.

You weren't paying for a membership you couldn't use. That's the difference

Just because you pay for eso plus means nothing . You get 1500 crowns and more xp and such, that is why you pay 4 eso plus . Also every system was affected , not just xbox1, eso plus means nothing when talking about maintenance down time

A lawsuit doesn't happen always because someone broke the law. A settlement is agreed upon both parties to avoid going to court. Also I said eso+ members and the servers are up so I'm off these forums. Have a great day
