Anyone with eso+ should get something. I understand it's 2 days but where was the "hey we are going to upgrade some servers next week and the downtime could be longer than anticipated, maybe even days?"
Again not informing people in advance is where this went wrong. Not everyone plays 24/7 people pay for a service, they expect to be able to use it when they want especially when it wasn't even mentioned in advance. Some people work and others have family and friends.
Imagine you work 40+ hours a week and you have a wife who does the same. You plan a family vacation to disneyworld. When you get to the airport they tell you "sorry we are closed for some server upgrades. No flights in or out for 2+ days."
Would you be upset? Why you don't own the airlines. They are just offering you a service you paid for.
Of course you would be pissed. Of course you could do other things with your time as well but you aren't getting the service you paid for.
How about I turn your water off for 2+ days it's just a service too.
You can say this is for the best, but how can you possibly know it's gonna do anything positive? I find it funny all these people defend something they have no idea about. Would you still defend it if this lasts a week?

I have the rare week off from work, and the last two days instead of playing the game I planned to play during my vacation, I am stuck reading the forums while everyone complains about the game being down.
We pay to have access to our game and have our "premium" benefits. Since you've admitted it wasn't an intended outage and the mistake was on your end, I feel strongly that Xbox users should be given this time we've paid for back. Any thoughts?
Costco thought the same thing yet they had to give out craptons of $$ to customers for over billing and shortening memberships

The OP took a week of vacation to play ESO, He is Entitled to get his 2 extra days.....
