If we are eso plus members, we should be given two days added to our memberships. (Xbox members)

I have the rare week off from work, and the last two days instead of playing the game I planned to play during my vacation, I am stuck reading the forums while everyone complains about the game being down.

We pay to have access to our game and have our "premium" benefits. Since you've admitted it wasn't an intended outage and the mistake was on your end, I feel strongly that Xbox users should be given this time we've paid for back. Any thoughts?

    That won't happen. I mean why that logic PC users should get a year and a half free since we beta tested for consoles.

    Wow. I don't get it. If you paid a Netflix membership, and their servers went down for two days, they would happily add two days to your current membership. How is this different?

    We paid for a game that was made B2P for the console player base, then they tried to make it better by giving perks for membership. They had made promises they couldn't keep and can't keep now that they lost a large percentage of they're player base due to the console release.

    Console users should probably get screwed out of as many days as PC users lost in the last year and a half.

    Read the ToS, it's not guaranteed access, and believe me and every other PC user here from the start, two days is nothing.
    Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

    Earn it.

    This. Some of the early maintenance downtimes were...you'd play another game for a few days.

    No I think besides today and yesterday the maintenance for this game are really not bad. Plus they tell you each week when they are so you can kinda plan ahead. If we didn't have maintenance you wouldn't be playing for even longer...I don't mind the 1 day a week to maintain the servers or even in this rare case of two days, still not bad. I do feel bad your only days off where when they have double maintenance I feel for you lol but I'm calling that bad timing. Hopefully you get to enjoy a little bit of eso today.

    I understand that pc users also have been screwed over. I am just frustrated that my down time - that I planned in advance and also pay to be a member of, is down two days in a row.

    I paid for a month of access. Instead I got a two days shy of a month

    Seeing as it's in the terms it won't be happening, but I still feel it should be made right. Any cell phone company, Netflix, cable company, Internet provider etc would do so.

    Will a post be made once the maintenance is over?

    I think EVERYONE should get a couple days of ESO Plus, everyone is affected by whatever ZoS broke.

    The flaw in your justification here is that those examples are examples of companies that provide a service. You pay to have access to game content. While entertainment is a service, its a whole different ballpark when it comes to games. And you're talking about less than 2 days out of a 30 day billing cycle. You can kinda see how unreasonable that sounds right? I'm sorry your schedule conflicted with down time, but I hope you check the forums at least weekly to find out about down times.

    Yeah, you pay a membership. Im gonna bet that you'd pay that membership even if you weren't playing ESO. Or did you get your xbox just for this game? Doubtful.

    My point. You aren't the only one losing out on time and money here. Many of us still sub to this game and these 2 days affect us as well. Think you are being a tad selfish here.

    Fact is though, there will be no compensation. Would it be nice? Well, sure. But the gimmie attitude around here is getting a bit... rank.

    Yeah, it sucks. I know, we all know. We all would rather be playing our game then sitting on these forums talking about it. Its not a run of the mill maintenance, they are upgrading hardware... which tells me they are working to make our money go further. Guess its all in how you look at things.

    I agree with the OP something should be done. I will take 1$ back just be sure to give it to EVERY eso+ member that will be a lot of $$ they don't get. F2P is too attractive in this game and if your F2P this topic doesn't even concern you.

    PC players you probably should get something but you did get the ability to transfer to consoles with your OP characters and dominate new ones in PvP so those of you who have did get something.

    Along the same line eso+ needs more to it. The F2P model in this game is almost as good and costs nothing.
    You want to increase eso+ memberships increase the QUALITY/RARITY of drops and chests by 25% for eso+ members.

    To add to your point though - I don't agree. ZoS are doing this so we have a better experience on launch next week. If you read the news thread Gina rightly says "it's a necessary evil" :3

    Extra down time means they are fixing something. This ultimately leads to less long term forum whining and complaining and ZOS witch hunting thrown around due to something broken. Therefore I am all for it.

    Actually, PS4 went down at 500Am EST for about 5 hours on Tuesday morning, and then again this morning at 4 am. So yes, 2 days in a row. This is very frustrating, but like he said, they are doing their jobs. I just think of he technology and how many things COULD go wrong, and i'm happy that this is it.
