We were four players (two from DC & two from AD) and we were all in finding to the same dungeon. Why this tool can't unite us in the one group?

Did you guys have 2 people with dps, 1 person with heal, 1 person with tank?
Yes, we did. We did it again today with level 35 characters and... nothing.

Aditionally to the "blind"- looking for group tool. We need something to customize our search. To manually look into the listings and add specific people in the queue.

The thing is: The lfg tool remains a black hole and there is no reassurance, that there is someone in the lfg tool at all.
If a list is made visible, there is a bigger incentive to invite people and form groups.

The lfg tool isn`t simply a toy to wait until you get invited. Its something that coordinates and makes allocations.
Normaly there should be a fair system: The one who entered the queue first, will first be allocated to a group.
There needs to be something, that shows, where you are in that list (and this is implemented with Orsinium i think).
But there should be a possibility to manually invite ppl from the list. Especially, if there are specific whishes.

The goal is: That all LFG-Communications go through this tool: It should be a global help for everyone to do anything. Therefore you need to program this tool, to be able to do exactely that!
If there is one flaw (no insight, no custom settings (like specific level range)), there will be zone-chat group search. --> People dont use the tool --> Tool remains useless, because zone-chat spamming is more eficient.

But the truth is: That a global working LFG tool, could attract more people and provide more groups in a faster time. Zone chat`s can be overread. People can become occupied with other things or they are getting depressed and stop searching/ they go out of the zone --> The quantity of ppl looking for group is reduced and therefore it`s harder to find a group.

So you see, its a matter of quantity AND Quality(individuality)

Language, Faction etc. Instead of putting all those option into the tool, you could just allow ppl to insert a short text besides their character (if they disable auto-grouping).

This tool is a keystone for all of us.
I spent days standing in Grathwood and looking for wgt groups. If you simplify the tool and allow some overview there would be more listings from those ppl playing in other zones.

So i beg you again.. please implement something like in the picture... Guildwars2 has a nice Grouping tool too, if you need more examples.

I would also say, that this tool will help to keep people playing the game.

I can confirm, that you lost some of my friends to this tool allone. How many player/suscriptions and how much money are you willing to loose over this?

a question to that @ZOS_GinaBruno should we be able to group up with members from different alliances just through normall add to group? (outside of groupfinder) is it possible to form a group for trials with members from different alliances? group finder for pvp should work and act how now?(i presume like before only same alliance)

Not yet, but it's something we're looking into for the future.

Undermines a major attraction of cross-faction grouping capabilities.

Not going to lie. Was excited at the prospect of running pledges with cross-faction friends. Excited enough that I might have actually used that group finder to find some DC Pug tank even if he wiped the group 3 or 4 times. Now, I'll probably just going to ignore the group finder as I have done for the past 15 months.

There is prob a work-around for it, get on TS with your buddies, and start a group with a really specific and off dailies filter criteria, like set to do vet 16 normal FG on a day when the silver is WS or something. Nobody will be in that queue with that specific criteria and if you had 3 friends also queued it should be sufficient to form a group.

Maybe...but considering guilds offer cross faction memberships, having the ability to group cross faction and use the grouping tools seems as a normal feature. Not allowing it seems odd and confuses me.

Also some comments here suggest specifically queueing didn't group ppl in queue nor were they grouped with others so whatever the logic or issues are...the changes aren't making the tool provide better results

I agree, you should be able to group inside your guild and queue for a dungeon or travel to a trial. I'm not sure why they can't add it since you'd still be blocked from opposing faction's zones. My guess is because of Cyrodiil and IC and the potential for unsportsmanlike conduct, but you'd think it would be pretty easy to write an exception preventing cross factions groups to exist or one to queue or travel to a cross faction leader in a PVP zone.

Not sure if testing this during the Orsinium PTS will show any real results. I would think most people would be playing and testing that content and seeing how it is mostly solo content and nothing really to use the group tool for plus the relatively few people on PTS compared to Live servers.

Most likely wont get any concrete evidence either way.

Im tempted to agree here but considering what if PvP keeps going and now more solo zones come on the live server, how many are going to use the grouping tools that aren't any better than before other than being able to queue and maybe get a cross faction party member.

Just that no one on PTS or anyone in the forums have shared...hey this is faster (better)

Yeah there probably aren't many on PTS trying it. When it goes live I'll definitely be trying it for the normal pledge, and also for low level dungeons on an alt.

My story: I'm a member of a dedicated cross-faction guild; our main profile is "thievery", and we can correctly state that the game do not offer so much things to do on this side. That's why our 100 members community changed to a general-purpose guild, but because of the original intention, I mean "stealing is above factions", we stayed with cross-factionship. But because of the lack of "dark-side activities" we are in real need of more possibilities in grouping. I was so happy when I saw the newly implemented methods of grouping, but now I'm quite sad about the latest posts in this conversation, what show me that this "new wave" is worse than I expected.
