Spam skills are fun?

Since the damage reduction update this death recap are very common....and in really, are a totally valid tactic if you kill...but.... is fun playing like that?

And really, with the damage reduction the skill is needed? i am not sure....

    Well winning is fun, and that's what some have to do in order to win.

    No stopping it, it's no exploit or anything, all you can do is try to counter it.

    @DannyLV702 - I have never seen a nightblade that can spam crystal frags, talons, toppling charge and puncturing sweep... lol...

    Nerfing cloak aint gonna fix the spamming issue we have, We all complained that we were dying too quickly in cyrodiil, so Zenni implemented damage reduction in cyrodiil to help us cry babies last 10 seconds longer in a fight,

    Now we moan that people spam skills, well in order to the extra 50% damage we have to spam the skill a hell of a lot more coz now you actually have time to respond and try heal yourself..........

    WHAT DO YOU ALL WANT?

    With my current build i have i can kill people in cyrodiil just as fast, if not quicker than before.. wish i had this in previous release....

    Guys we need to stop moaning about everything....

    The only reason damage reduction is here is coz we all moaned about dying too quickly...

    Tbh honest if a sorcerer was able to just spam CF, he was being ALLOWED to spam CF without being attacked. Where a NB is the only class able to get away with it as there is not much you can do against a shadow cloak uppercut spamming nb regardless of peoples denials.

    If ANY other class started spamming stuff against me; I will absolutely wreck them, be it a cf spamming sorcerer or a jab spamming temp as spamming is generally not even effective. NBs however are the only ones who more often than not make spamming a particular skill somewhat effective as it is spammed alongside cloak.

    So yes. I too believe that cloak at present is the only thing that makes spamming EFFECTIVE. Yes, temps will still spam but they are not any good at it, haha. Still yet to meet one of these legendary temp jab spammers that people talk of that will actually take more than 10% of my health before death.

    For a game of this scale, there's not really that many attacking options to choose from. If you remove the useless spells... well you know what I mean.

    I find WB hussars and Jabdancers quite amusing.

    Sadly, they can be a major annoyance. :(

    you have to bare in mind most successful builds in pvp i see will probably have 2 skills on a bar that are damage one being gap closer or CC as well as damage, three if they have an execute on one bar which is pretty rare these days. That only leaves a couple of moves for damage so you have to spam the same moves.

    unless they drop an ultimate in the middle this is a pretty typical death recap.

    The need to escape/cloak/reflect/cc/buff/heal/gap close/execute depending on class/build means other options are not effective pvp set ups.

    Did you seriously have death recaps like this in a normal fight? They look very staged to me, especially being killed by crystal fragment and funnel health spam.

    Took 20k fall damage off a rock a couple days ago.

    Not a big rock either a little one maybe a two feet off the ground.

    seriously, they are all numbers but they are different! well except 12, I see 2 of them. Is there no name restriction on PC?

    My friend is a WB spammer and he is not even good at it, I just root and punish him to death from range.

    This was happening before damage reduction just now any defense that isn't cheap spam it self is totally useless. IMO more skills mainly the spammed ones need the BE treatment of 50% cost increases after each use that stacks. Also block casting needs to go.

    No, because before at least you could heal properly. They've completely destroyed pvp. Self heals are garbage now.

    You can only slot 5 skill for each bar.
    If you slot your skill accordingly to a pattern (buff\self-heal & utility, mobility/gap closer, CC, attack skill and maybe a finisher) it makes sense to use only one spammable skill to deal damage... I don't think the problem of PVP nowadays is skill-spamming honestly.

    They just want a "I win" button which is what the state of PvP is in right now. Either have that "I win" button or die from it over and over again.

    I think they just need to adjust the skills so they compliment each other. For example, if you did a wrecking blow, then perhaps executioner would have a decent increase in damage if a different 2H attack was recently used, or even buff up your damage mitigation. This is pretty rough on the edges, but once put into great detail, I think there will be a lot more variety of attacks and strategical advantages.

    What would you suggest then? I keep seeing people complain about skill spamming but they never have a viable suggestion. Stacking ability costs is yours.

    Think about that for a even a second...You have any predictions how severely that would screw with PVE? Your so intent on altering gameplay you disagree with that you'll savage other aspects of the game for the sake of your own predilections.

    Come up with a credible way, that doesn't blatantly destory other parts of the game, to shift the dynamics of having to play multiple roles (i.e. heals, cc, utility all roled into one build) in pvp if you want to be taken seriously.

    Excluding ultimate, I have 10 slots on my bars, 4 are used for damage abilities:
    1 High DPS Single Target
    1 AoE
    1 Ranged Single Target
    1 Closer

    Everything else is a heal, buff, or cc ability. This means that in any situation there is only 1 good damage ability to use. The only thing I see unusual about these is the people you seem to be fighting don't seem to be doing a lot of heavy/light weaving.

    I sometimes get a pm about being a spammer of any of the 4 abilities above. Sorcs attempting to to bolt escape away will likely see nothing but closers in their death recap. While someone standing on a ledge or wall where I can't use my closer will likely see nothing but my range ability, and someone standing in one place not attempting to avoid any attacks will likely see nothing but my single highest DPS ability + heavy attack.

    Also, many of the spammed abilities in your death recaps had obvious counters. So, well, read your own signature and meditate on the situation.

    A lot of death re caps i give people probably only show overload light attack, but thats cuz I use it as a finisher. Use my rotation to get them into spam heal mode or run away, then do overload to deal more damage than they can handle. But they can heal so much that all they see is overload.

    They need to put a debuff on more skills, obviously CD is against their ethos so it might be the best option, I know if I spent half an hour swinging a massive sword in one particular way I would need something pushed back in. We have debuffs on dodge rolls, bolt escape etc. so why not add more? It would make finding a solid rotation harder and therefore stop spammables, drop average dps (making hybrids more accessible) and it would make both PvE and PvP more challenging; maybe lessen the feeling of everything being dumbed down, which is the trend in current AAA mmo's I find.

    We get 10 slots. 10 spots does not give enough space for multiple ST dmg abilities without sacrificing utility, especially since toggles take up 2 spots. There's only room for a couple attacks man, anything more than that is taking away your flexibility for diverse combat situations. Adding cooldowns is a bad idea, adding scaling cost for multiple uses is a bad idea.
