I'm hoping these are just preparations for Orsinium DLC and not something we should expect weekly?

There will never be a time period where no one is online so there will never be a time period when maintenance will hinder someone's playtime. As nordsavage said they cater to the benefit of the majority, and for maintenance the dead hours do that best. Sorry if you lose a couple hours of in-game time over it but there is nothing that can be done, unless you want the servers to crash at any given time for who knows how long.

Just to clarify for the third time as people seem to have reading comprehension issues, nobody is complaining as to the Maintenance itself we are complaining because the maintenance times which were previously fine have been changed with no explanation as to why.
And then Americans wonder why people have a bad opinion of them...nordsavage wrote: »medieval_TOG wrote: »Umm, the point is that is our night-time here, our prime time (so no sun for us even at this time of day). It was fine when it was Monday night, but moving it Tuesday night and with a start time of 7pm (5am EDT) means that for all of us, that is one whole night gone.
Could you imagine the screams if they had maintenance on a US evening?
Then go play on the Australian servers . . . oh that's right this game was made and is maintained by us Americans. Sorry dude go play with a kangaroo.

Well rude comments aside they post in advance maintenance schedules so you know it's coming. Not their fault if you don't check into it. They do maintenance when needed and post the schedule, so that alone should suffice.

Apologies if I sound rude but you continue to say the same thing without actually reading what our issue is, I have been around since closed beta and still maintain my sub on PC and the maintenance time has always been the same for us except for the last 2 weeks. This is the issue as it's an extremely inconvenient time for it (compared to how it's always been) and nobody from Zos has explained as to why this change happened. This is not maintenance as needed this is scheduled as per the message at the top of the forum and it's also the same as last week's maintenance.
We are unhappy as this has never been an issue until now.

No need to tell us when you and nordsavage have just shown everyone so beautifully.
The OP raised a concern comparatively politely and was answered by consecutive posts evidencing reading fails. The original point still hasn't been addressed. Would be nice to see if it could be, by the proper parties of course.

Oh no the small population on an isolated continent don't like me what ever shall I do. If you think that this is an American thing than you have not been on the internet long, We live in an age where all western civilization is cut form the same cloth. You hating Americans in specific shows your own prejudice and preconceived notions as you have never been here. Besides most Americans could care less if you want to hate and have pride in being a great nation. When things go down the U.S. is there to handle it. Terrorism, natural disasters you name it we get there. Two world wars thrust us into the role of global saviors and police and there is no going back and you are better off for it. Try and stop us.

I for one would hope that scheduled maintenance times could be picked so as to avoid peak periods for any sizeable contingent of the user base. If for some reason this isn't possible, could there please be an explanation? Apologies if there has been already and I just missed it.

Look just because 1 person that happens to be from America said something uncalled for doesn't mean every American is responsible for it so cool your jets.
And for the record ya'll started being rude to me first when all I did was provide replies towards the reason behind maintenance. Yes the 2 replies before the 3rd one were apparently not in regard to your real issue hence the 3rd reply but seeing as you were being rude to me before anything ever had a chance to escalate I don't think you have any right to call me out like that now do you?

I agree, but an alternative offline mode needs to be introduced fast, everybody is getting tired of weekly downtime, especially eso plus paid members.
