On behalf of all Oceania players we have put up with the maintenance times since release which would usually at least grant us a couple of hours of play during our prime time evening before the servers go down, but these latest maintenance schedules are really not cool 7:00PM aest is just silly especially because there is such a large Oceanic player base still playing this game.

I'm hoping these are just preparations for Orsinium DLC and not something we should expect weekly?

Maintenance is necessary to keep the servers running. A couple of hours to keep us away from not being able to play at all is not something I'd choose to complain about...

I agree, but an alternative offline mode needs to be introduced fast, everybody is getting tired of weekly downtime, especially eso plus paid members.

With all due respect you didn't actually read my post at all, of course maintenance is necessary, we know this however my rant relates to the maintenance times which have changed in the recent weeks completely removing any playtime for Oceanic's during our prime time hours which up until now has never been an issue.

Hey guy they do it early in the morning due to MAJORITY being offline so it is ready for peak hours. Also they are cracking on it first thing in the morning these guys have barely had coffee. Go play other games in the meantime or go get some sun.

Umm, the point is that is our night-time here, our prime time (so no sun for us even at this time of day). It was fine when it was Monday night, but moving it Tuesday night and with a start time of 7pm (5am EDT) means that for all of us, that is one whole night gone.

Could you imagine the screams if they had maintenance on a US evening?

As I said it's 7:00pm at night, the issue is the times have changed with no explanation as to why, for us here in Australia maintenance would pop usually at 10:00pm aest and now it's hitting us early evening which basically means unless we hang around till at least midnight we get 0 time to play and seeing as most of us have jobs, families and such this is the only time we get to play. Maintenance is definitely not an issue here the issue is that the time has changed completely cutting us off and there is no explanation as to why these times have suddenly changed.

Hope so too. It's not so bad from NZ - goes down around 10pm, but sucks for Oz. I guess whatever time it happens it's going to inconvenience someone somewhere.

Apologies if I sound rude but you continue to say the same thing without actually reading what our issue is, I have been around since closed beta and still maintain my sub on PC and the maintenance time has always been the same for us except for the last 2 weeks. This is the issue as it's an extremely inconvenient time for it (compared to how it's always been) and nobody from Zos has explained as to why this change happened. This is not maintenance as needed this is scheduled as per the message at the top of the forum and it's also the same as last week's maintenance.

We are unhappy as this has never been an issue until now.

Why start at 5am US time????? Why not wait till 7am??? That would push the downtime start to 10pm AU time, so not too bad.

And why make that poor bugger who works at ZoS get up at 4am?

The OP raised a concern comparatively politely and was answered by consecutive posts evidencing reading fails. The original point still hasn't been addressed. Would be nice to see if it could be, by the proper parties of course.

Thankyou for the moderator intervention there. The original poster was making a perfectly valid point and some of the responses have been incredibly unhelpful frankly.

I for one would hope that scheduled maintenance times could be picked so as to avoid peak periods for any sizeable contingent of the user base. If for some reason this isn't possible, could there please be an explanation? Apologies if there has been already and I just missed it.

They have a job to do... and they picked today to fix some back end issues.

I am an Oceanic player. I live in Hawaii which is right smack in the middle of the Pacific, but I actually prefer these new maintenance times. The former maintenance schedule of Monday's at 8:00am est made for a shorter gaming session on Sundays here, my only full day to play since I work 6 days a week. I for one hope they keep this schedule.

People are defending the rights of those of African decent to showcase their heritage, but then those in the southern part of the country are being told that they can't show their heritage by flying their old flag. Do I agree with it....yes and no case depending. Will I defend both sides right...Yes. Sadly, that "right" is being trampled on by other people who seem to feel that their "rights" are more important.

I have a saying that I use frequently IRL:

"Welcome to America, land of the free, if you can afford it, and home of the brave, if you pay us enough."

Sorry ZOS has adjusted your maintenance time to a bad time. It was likely made in preparation for the time change that the USA observes. I don't know if you observe Daylight Savings Time in your country, but it is a possibility when dealing with ours.

And by the way, it was the generalisation that you made about Americans that drew me into commenting in the first place.

You are right. Not all Americans were responsible... maybe you should consider what your words are suggesting to other people about people from the US then. Americans, generally, are great people. The unsympathetic responses based on a faulty interpretation of the OP? Not so much.

The change in maintenance timings negatively impacted some people.

Is ZOS going to either apologise or promise not to do it again? Probably not.

Should they? Still probably not.

Does that mean that the OP shouldn't raise that as a concern? Heck no
