You know since there's 2 levels each Alliance War rank, I've always wondered... is the first progress bar of any rank much slower than the second bar to get to the next rank?

Its just like any leveling system where next level takes longer to reach than the previous, but of course once you get into the pvp properly you will gain AP much faster than one did at the start so it will seem to go faster, for a while, then it will slow down again. That's at least how I see it. But I know it takes longer, used an addon to check all the AP requirements for each rank a while back, and you can just check next time you level that you need more.0 -

You might just be getting more alliance points during that time period where you're going from 1/2 to 2/2.1 -
