As a healer I'd probably go with Kagrenac's Hope, because auf the Magicka reg and faster resurrection. Julianos is a bit better suited for dps, I think.

I've done vWGT a dozen times (not a lot I know), but still pretty amazed over the fact that I've gotten exactly 0 pieces of any set. Not even some random heavy piece with well-fitted.

So to get 5 pieces of for example Spell Cure, I'd probably need to run it 999 times or more

Might as well go with crafted until than.

But crafted wise, should go with kagrenacs hope?

So I've had 130 clears on VWGT. The loot table works like this:

Trash - 95% of the time shoes
1st boss - ONLY drops pants and belt (2 embers)
2nd boss - ONLY drops shoes and gloves (4 embers)
3rd boss - ONLY drops chest and shoulder (8 embers)
Kena - head (all sets not just her helm) (12 embers)

We've also pulled other pieces off of Kena, chest, sash, etc. Kena helms look to drop about 8% of the time. In all our runs the helm has dropped 11 times for me.

It is a grind, and I mean grind. The dude grinding the fist boss only would have to have 75 farms on the fist boss to open one vault for two pieces of loot. Your best bet is to get a group together to complete clears. 6 clears and you get a vault try.

Just don't place all your hopes on the vault.

The traits that drop are Reinforced, well-fitted, infused and divines. Last two vaults in a row I pulled 4 pauldrons. All four traits.....well-fitted.... Sigh ...
