Have Spell Dmg weapon glyphs and % SD passives been tested?

Stamina gets these glyphs and passives via medium armor and Flawless Dawnbreaker. Have comparable passives been tested for Spell Damage builds?

These differences and the lack of itemized spell crit have made Stam damage much stronger in the recent past. The spell crit discrepancy is being remedied with Orsinium, so I'm curious about testing on the other issues.

Magicka users get their damage from max magicka more so than spell dmg, exact opposite for stam users.

A sorc can get like 45k+ magicka and 3.5k+ spell dmg vs 35k+ stam and 4.5k+ wep dmg.

This is wrong, Magicka/stamina and sp.dmg/wpn.dmg scale equally for both sides.

    1 sp.dmg/wpn.dmg = 10.46 magicka/stamina

The reason stamina dps stack wpn.dmg over stamina is because you have much better passive's like medium armor and dawn breaker.

While the only this available to magicka dps are class passives.

Magicka dps tend to stack more magicka because it's easier to multiply with passive's like

    high elf 10%
    undaunted mettle 6%
    inner light 10%
    sorc armor 8%
    any mage guild ability 2%

Sorcs like max magicka because shields scale off of magicka and not spell damage.

But all damage scales predominantly off of spell damage. Period.

Damage scales off both weapon/ spell and their stam/magicka counterpart. You can compensate for for one ( spell/max magicka) by raising the other getting similar damage. If the ratio of how weap/spell to stam/magicka is 1:10, every 1000 magicka gained is similar to 100 spell damage. Stamina users have access to passives that increase weapon damage more predominantly than max stam. Magicka users have access to more passives that increase magicka rather than spell damage. It appears to even out in the end, no? If magicka users get more ablility to raise spell damage in conjunction to raising max magicka, would that not be a step into inbalance rather than balance?

45K Magicka and 3.5K Spell damage is not possible without having a ton of CPs unless you're talking about a pure magicka build with Molag Kena procced.

    Not true at all
Different skills and different classes benefit from this, you'll see stronger tooltip for some with higher magicka but others will be better with spell damage. For example puncturing sweep benefits most from higher magic, but whip benefits spell damage

You'll need to do a lot of testing to find them out for your class, then again my spell damage is low lately and I'm getting 10.2k crits from burning light, pve of course

As far as armor is concerned, damage is very balanced. While character sheet spell damage may not get the 12% buff that medium gets, the penetration gained from the 5-light passive roughly makes up for it.

Flawless dawn breaker is similar in damage gained from +magicka gained from inner light and other mage guild abilities.

Honestly, of they added a spell damage proc glyph for weapons, damage would be pretty even. The character sheet stat would still be 20% different, but balanced by 5k more penetration and 7-9%more magicka.

Staff passives still suck compared to DW/2HH/Bow...Butthat's a different conversation
